I purchased this model from ebay some time ago and converted it solely for infra red photography and it produces wonderful results.
The seller lived 40 miles away from me so I met her and collected the camera.Lovely lady, camera exactly as described.
A photographer friend asked me to buy this second sony on his behalf simply because I was so pleased with it and he's a retired photographer so knows more than I do about what's available, he wanted it for normal photography.He is as delighted with his camera as I am with mine.
Normal photography I only use Nikon D2X or D200 and I didn't want to convert these, I am truly pleased with the sony it has so many features combined in one camera which even my D2X doesn't have.Lovely and small , quite light and very very versatile.
I go photographing daily and every time I use the sony fall more and more in love with it. I would recommend to anyone , So versatile not too pricey well made excellent all round.

Excellent camera. Solid build quality. Carl Zeiss T* lense. Excellent 28 to 200 zoom. Accepts both Compact Flash card and Memory Stick. Powerful flash. Can accept other additional accessories such as flash and converting lens for wide and zoom.
