Sony CDX-S2200 Car CD/ MP3 Player

Recently bought one of these on Ebay and what a great piece of kit! It was easy to fit as it came with a universal wiring connector which fitted my car (Peugeot 307), looks cool in its mainly silver facia which again goes very well with the other silver coloured trim on the 307 dash. It has a good range of features the best of which is it's ability to play MP3 files recorded onto cd-r, the sound quality is outstanding and that is when linked up to the standard car speakers, what it would be like if matched to a set of Sony speakers I don't know but I can guess it would blow you away. It also shows the name of the album and track scrolling across the screen which applies to cd's as well if they are recorded with text info included. There is a equaliser which seems to a give a good variation to the sound when toggled through its settings so there should be a setting to suit most peoples taste, my favorite is the Xplod setting which realy gives the bass some boost. The radio reception is good and has all the usual RDS features which includes auto time setting of the built in clock (which shows when the unit is turned off). The only slight criticism is that the buttons light up red at night and it could be a bit bright for some peoples taste so could do with a dimmer.

This is a dis-continued model so if you can find one on Ebay at a discounted price then go for it, you won't be disappointed.
