Some Like It Hot (DVD 2001)

my Dad sadly gone now used to love this film having seen it at the cinema as a young man. He introduced it to me and I love it now. The acting is superb with Jack Lemmon showing classic comic timing ranging from paranoia to delusion when he agrees to marry Osgood (forgetting in the moment) that he is a man dressed as a woman. This is pre PC humour that nicely outlines the battle of the sexes in a positive way as Sweet Sue's band is all female musicians. Tony Curtis pulls off a passable Cary Grant impression which is a touch post modern for its time and Marilyn Monroe just plays Marilyn Monroe as she does in all her films. Incidentally this comedy still tops the 100 list as one of the greatest comedies of all time so definately worth watching!

A perfect feel good comedy...a must have for any marilyn monroe fan. Add it to your collection.
I am a huge fan of her films and bought the film without even watching it before hand and I wasn't dissapointed.

If you want to see Jack Lemmon at his best look no further.You will hard pressed to find a better comedy or better performances from the all leads.

This is a comedy gem. Even, if like my wife, you do not like black & white movies, give this on a go, you will not be disappointed. There are laughs all the way through, and the acting is just superb.

A true Marilyn Monroe classic! Her best and funniest film in my opinion- Tony Curtis is hysterical!, and Marilyn is at her breath beautiful best. Love it!

This is my favourite film of all time, fantastic film, with fantastic actors and actresses, could and have watched this film over and over again, pure classic

Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis the two disguise themselves as women and call themselves Josephine and Geraldine (later Jerry changes his pseudonym to Daphne). They join the band and go to Florida by train. Joe and Jerry both fall for "Sugar Kane" Kowalczyk Marilyn Munroe, the band's sexy Polish-American vocalist and ukulele player, they fight for her affection while keeping their disguises in a classic farce not to be missed. It really has not dated with age, but got better it is gentle innocent fun that everyone will appreciate. It could have been filmed last week but for the lack of todays less innocent language. Even though in Black & White, it has been suggested to be one, if not 'the' Greatest Comedies Of All Time

Pretty good movie. Very old fashioned with its ways, but still very funny. I found the roles of the women were very much for the male audience but I found it clever that they based the film around the time of depression in the United States.
I give it 7.5/10 overall, it is definately a good sunday evening movie to watch. I reccommend it to anyone who has a few hours spare.

A real timeless movie. Marilyn Munroe at her best, Jack lemon is fantastic as a woman, so very funny and Tony Curtis's accent is beyond doubt horrendous, really makes the film.
I first watched this 20 odd years ago, it remains my most favourite. A sure pick me up if i feel down. The cast are wonderful, you get caught up in the story.You can't really beat a great black and white movie.

Definately one of Marilyn's best movies! A feel good and saucy little number it has broad appeal to all ages in various ways and is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face!

Nicely packaged, quick delivery, as described in seller's text. No complaints - one of my favourite films and when my friend said he couldn't find it anywhere I surprised him by getting in from EBay. I think his indifferent opinion of you has changed now. HE had wanted it for his partner, so EVERYONE finished up happy. He now owes ME a favour!
