I have several LPs/CDs by Tomita and this original is probably the best of its type. Very creative interpretations which seem to bring out the dreamy quality inherent in Debussy's music. It is acknowledged that some people will think that Tomita deviates from the accepted norms of classical music sound but for those with an open mind these interpretations are great.

Known for his unusual interpretations of music of all genre, Tomita takes pieces of music, in this case Debussey`s classics and brings them alive with an infusion of electronic mastery.
Great for classical fans and those wanting something different.

This album, which is a collection of Debussy pieces so very individually interpretted by Isao Tomita was my very first introduction to electronic music back in the late 70's (I also own the 12" vinyl version issued on RCA 'Red Label'). Whilst Tomita's style and interprettations aren't to everyones taste, he surely is a master of his craft. This album showcases just what Tomita is capable of - a true genius. This album haunts me still!
