Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs (DVD 2001)

This is a classic Disney that is very rare, collectible and definitely one of his best. It's full of excitement, wonderful animation and catchy songs that you and your children will love. This DVD is a UK genuine release with hologram and also contains a fantastic game that is brilliant to test your children on how much they observed during the film. It will keep any child or adult captivated from start to finish and is a must for any Disney collection. If like me you are lucky enough to get a genuine UK copy, currently unavailable in shops (thank heavens for eBay,) please take my advise and buy it. It's value will only increase in time and when it's re-released, will not be the same as this quality original. So please take my advise and BUY BUY BUY!!!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a classic animated fairytale, has a wonderful storyline throughout and for the year of original production, this movie has visibly breathtaking detail.

and I personally believe a special credit should go to Marion Darlington who personally produced all the Bird Sounds and Warbling, as this was recorded in a time way before computer generated effects.

The storyline behind this movie is of a beautiful princess called Snow White, who is pursued by her evil step-mother (the queen) who is jealous of her beauty, and insist on having her killed. Snow White finds shelter in a little house in the forest, homed by seven dwarfs, each with their own personality and habits to match their names.
This movie does have mild peril, due to the anger and jealousy towards Snow White, but this doesnt taint the movie, it creates a solid standing ground for the plot line to develop.
I would highly recommend this movie to anyone with children, or indeed anyone wishing to reminisce on their youth.

this is really the film that started it all, i cant imagine not growing up with it, brilliant story, truely a timeless classic, a definate film to grow up with.

This is the movie that established Walt Disney's reputation as the master of children's cartoons. Even by today's exacting standards, the animation is top notch.

Perhaps the best test of Snow White's enduring charm and beauty is to sit a variety of children between the ages of 5 and 10 in front of it and watch how they become spellbound by it. Visually there is so much to see and enjoy. The detail is stunning. A collection of hugely talented and imaginiative people have vividly brought a stunning array of characters to life in a magical way - magical is truly the perfect word to describe this work of genius.

Of course, adults can enjoy Snow White again and again too. One of the joys of this movie is seeing your sons and daughters enjoy it as much as you did, when you first saw it. And, when you see it again after a gap of 25 years, its power still amazes you.

You could describe this movie as a rite of passage, something that every child should see, and why not - we all love a well-told story, which this unquestionably is. This is film that connects one generation to the next. Perhaps the only other movie that does this is "The Sound of Music".

What else can I say but thank you, Walt. It is a masterpiece.

Great item, bought it for my grandad as he keeps asking if I have it for him to watch and as its not available on general release I bought it from ebay and its great! He is very pleased!

Wonderful animation that matches the original Grimm brothers fairy tale of dark gothic romance and pure love that reaches out from beyond the grave.

Superb sing~a~long songs , lots of humour , but edged with a sharp dark side , the Evil Queen is one of the iconic screen witches , watch out for the bit with the skeleton.....!
The artwork is delightful , the background art is superb , go treat yourself to pure innocent indulgence and watch a charming and delightful movie that is timeless and engaging , turn the music up and sing along with me ~~~~ " Heigh ho , heigh ho........."

It was difficult to get this DVD, so I found Ebay the right place to look for it. I received it before Christmas as it was promised, and it made a wonderful Christmas present.

Unfortunately one of the DVDs would not operate on either DVD player/recorder or my computer and therefore had to return it to seller. The seller refunded straightaway with no problem.

love this film! fantastic disney classic! bought for my daughter as she loves all the disney princesses. a must have for both kids and big kids!!!!!

Having a small daughter I get to see most of the classic Disney films on a regular basis and I have to say that although it was the first and therefore most classic I really prefer Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid - Snow White's voice is most irritating! It doesn't seem to have aged that well to be honest.

I am up grading my video's to dvd so I was over the moon to find Snow White on DVD, and in such good condition.

way ahead of its time, a fantastic masterpiece. the film takes you back in the fairytale of childhood and lets you relive those memories. i would recomend this film to anyone with kids as its cruel to let them grow up without knowing the pleasure of disney!

Excellent movie very enjoyable to watch. Loads of songs to sing along to, can be viewed by the whole family. There was an added bonus disc where they explain everything about the movie right from the start. Strongly reccomended.

DISNEY CLASSIC WHICH MY DAUGHTER LOVES. I OWN IT ON VHS BUT DECIDED ON THE COLLECTORS EDITION WITH 2 DVD AND AN ART IN THE MAKING OF BOOK.
IN MY OPINION THE BEST FILM THAT DISNEY HAS MADE. GREAT FOR OLD AND YOUNG ALIKE.

I love disney anyway, but Snow White is the first one they made and still a classic. Great for all ages.

I love this DVD as it is rare and collectable I have wanted it for a while, I decided to buy it as it was my Birthday and my husband was unsure of what to buy for me as a present. I paid for it immediately but I had to contact the seller a few times before I received it, this I thought was poor on their part.
