Smallville - Series 4 - Complete (DVD)

This season shows Lois Lane becoming more integral to the storyline, Lionel Luthor displaying a more humane side to his personality, Lana Lang returning from Paris with a new boyfriend in tow and a tattoo on her back causing her to display a mysterious and showing a evil manifestation of one her ancestors. Lex convincing Clark that he can still trust him and Chloe subtly teasing Clark about his abilities. Also thanks to the accidental creation of Black Kryptonite, Lex discovering his dark side. Overall, too many things to describe here but I will say it's well worth the purchase. So go and buy it.

Well what can i say, a fantastic start to this epic series as jorel clarks biological fether seems to have got his way but martha kent his adopted mother on earth shows a deep resevoir of strength and love for the kryptonian child she has raised ripping him from a destiny she knows is not for her son,or is it.
this season delves more deeply into our favorite heros life as an adolesent,experience the continued growing pains, the losses he must endure to attain his rightful place as earths champion,and the begining of understanding the awsome power he will somday wield.

Returning for a fourth season of adventures in SMALLVILLE, the young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) once again attempts to balance his high school life with the superpowers he was equipped with at birth. The season begins with Lois Lane (Erica Durance) turning up in Smallville to investigate the death of her cousin. In a neat touch, Margot Kidder, who plays Lois in the Christopher Reeve-era SUPERMAN movies, makes an appearance in the first episode. Meanwhile, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) has picked up a new boyfriend in Paris, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) has got his hands on a kryptonian crystal in Egypt, and Lionel (John Glover) sets a mutant on the trail of Chloe (Allison Mack) to determine whether she is dead or not. A wonderful counterpart to the adult adventures of SUPERMAN, SMALLVILLE continues to go from strength to strength.

I always liked the series on tv, so I started collecting the dvd boxsets, I enjoyed them even more following the series as they went along, getting to know the the people the layout. I really loved at the end of a series they leave you on a cliff hanger and you cant wait for the next one to drop thru the post, I know you will totally love watching these series of smallville as I have and am enjoying right now,highly recommended watch.

In this fourth installment of the Smallville series we meet Lois Lane for the first time and get to see Clark fly, as well as see a darker side to Lex that hasn't been shown in the previous seasons. This season is heading closer to the end of the journey before clark becomes superman. 10/10 Big thumbs up!!!

I'm a Smallville fan, so this review isn't hard to write, I love the show-This series in particular is a favourite one of mine, because we see Clark as Kal-El, embrace his Kryptonian ancestry (to a degree at least) which I find very interesting. My only irritation is that I WISH THE MAN WOULD JUST TELL LANA HIS SECRET!!! Lol-It'd be very interesting to see him in an alternative universe get with Lana and see how that actually pans out (a bit like how in one of the streams in the Apocalypse Saga, Wolverine married Storm).

I recommend this Dvd set, if you're into Superman, the next thing for me to do is to purchase Season 5 and 8 and then have some Smallville Weekends with my brothers.

i loved watching the programme on tv but i missed some episodes so i bought the boxset it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I have deicided to buy this series as i have all the the other series and i needed this one to complete my collection. This is a great series which takes you on a journey to find some stones which hold the key to clark kents destiny.

Thoroughly enjoyed every episode of this video so much so Im now hunting e bay for series 5. Lois Lane the new addition is excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable dvd set which you tend to watch over a few days as there are 22 hour long episodes!! Highly recommended. Im looking forward to seeing series 5.

already had first three series and love them all so got a bargain with this fourth series. it is great just like all the rest .

6 dvds plenty of hours of smallville viewing,been collecting all the smallvilles and they are getting better with every new season i buy.

I'm not gonna lie to you. This season was good, but in places VERY weak, which is a first for Smallville. It started off with 'Crusade' the premiere, where Clark emerged from the caves embracing his Kryptonian destiny with the ability to fly, Lois Lane arrived, and it introduced us to Black Kryptonite.
An average episode sadly, but the flying was incredible. Black K lacked any real purpose, and it seemed very slow paced.

Erica Durance adds a comical, witty and sarcastic spin to the Lois Lane character, but this has pros and cons. In my opinion, she should have been left out of Clark Kent's youth as the painful references to their future together are wearing a little thin. She also fizzles out after the 2nd episode and doesn't bring anything to the show.

Jason Teague, Lana's new boyfriend, is another bizarre introduction. The final thing that I disliked about this season was the witch arc. The good parts.
We had great special effects as always, Clark and Lionel switching bodies in 'Transference', The Flash stopping by in 'Run', Lex's decline into darkness in 'Onyx' where he is split in two- The evil Lex we've been waiting for and a more friendly Lex, Michael Rosenbaum's (Lex) acting being superb, The Kryptonian stones arc, and the amazing season finale 'Commencement'.

This season is the worst yet, but still exciting and fun to watch- I say this to any one who disliked this season- Don't give up hope on Smallville, Season 5 is absolutely amazing and surpasses this season so much it's unbelievable. But I still bought this series to add to my collection, and there are some great episodes, despite there being more bad ones than any other season. Just enjoy and then move onto season 5.

A good continuation of the series. Sees clark learning how to adapt to his new powers and differing colours of kryptonite and their effects.Well written except for the over and over clark/lana epic...you can get too much of the on/off situation.
overall good and worth watching.

i deciderd 2 buy this dvd cose its was the only one my brother dint have so we got it him 4 this 21st birthday in november hes loves smallvill and this one was good 4 it money we was well pleased with it

My grandaughter Jenna lives in Melbourne Victoria and she adores Smallville. I am buying all the series for her. So far I have purchased series 1,2,3, and 4 from sellers on ebay and she is delighted with them.

The quality is superb and Jenna has has many happy hours watching and the feedback I have received from her has been first class.

The reason I buy from ebay is that you don't need to leave your home and everything is delivered to your door. Perhaps the best advantage of ebay is that you can receive a new product if that is your choice BUT if you are happy with a used version of the item = these are freely available also.

If your a Smallville fan, then you will want to complete your DVD collection with the other episodes.
I have now demolished 4 seasons marathon mode and I have to say that S4 is certainlly the best yet as now smallville has developed into an ongoing story as opposed to every episode having something compleetly differenet as in previous seasons where each episode is different with a new guest charchter every episode.! Season 4 see's the introduction of louis Lane in the very first episode, In addition there in somewhat of a medevil theme throughout the season which gives great viewing.!
