I saw the original and it was ok , It was a little different. This remake is much better the humour balance with horror content is excellent, it made me laugh out loud where as most "funny" film's only manage a smile. The effects are excellent and so is the casting. The mayor and the chief of police crack me up I watched it 3 times in a week of getting it.
