Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants (DVD)

I watched this with my 13 year old daughter one miserable Sunday afternoon and we were totally captivated by it.

It’s a ‘coming of age’ story with a difference.
A quartet of best friends spend one summer apart, mailing a pair of ‘magic’ jeans (they fit each girl perfectly) to each other for luck.

As the summer progresses, each girl learns valuable lessons about themselves, and about life.

A fabulous chick flick, a must for a girls’ night in.

Not suitable for younger children in my opinion as it does cover teen themes.

A teeny drama about four very different young women and the different ways they begin to grow up, and experience life, love and all the trials and tribulations attached!

A really cute movie that addresses the real friendships, emotions (in all their rawness) and life experiences teenagers go through - without trivialising them to crass dramatics (i.e. Mean girls!) and cruel bitchiness! We all know the popular evil girls at school - lets see more movies like Sisterhood that show a more real aspect of teen life!

This to me was how girls make, maintain and keep friendships alive that are deep, true and supportive. Kick-a** sound track to match. Strong acting, and humour without stupidity or crude jokes.

5/5, something I feel will appeal to young women AND teens.

The film was really good, and the quality was fantastic. It works in all three of my DVD players, the PS3, hi-Fi dvd and the stand-alone dvd.

I read the book and could not wait to see the film.
I watched it with my 1O year old daughter,we both enjoyed it.

as good as it was he very first time i watched it. myself and my friends watched it one evening, we rented it from the video shop and initially thought it was going to be childish and a bit cheesy really. we found however, it was moving and true to life. so when i saw this on here i just had to get it! highly recomend this!!!

Great film about 4 girls who think one pair of jeans has special powers.
The jeans also fit all sizes, whatever shape you are!
Also shows how the girls learn to accept what they are!
Shows them all aspects of life, from liking a boy, to having a holiday romance.
Also for showing them that some things in life are upsetting. Like losing a friend through death. Having your parents starting another life with a new partner, and finding that you have another family.
All round an excellent film on basically day to day life!!
One for all the family to watch. Outstanding!!
