Simply Painting - Bringing Landscapes To Life (DVD)

I found the DVD extremely helpful. Frank Clark paints with a very relaxed easy manner and along with his gentle Irish humour it makes very good viewing.
The paintings are not too complicated and you need only a limited pallette. Frank tells you the colours, brushes and paper required. Frank works continually through the painting; there is no edited or missed bits which can be annoying if you want to paint along and follow exactly what he does. So by stopping and starting the DVD, it is fairly easy to paint along with Frank Clark and produce a reasonable painting. I think this DVD is great for beginners and improvers, but maybe not adventurous enough for an experienced painter. My only critisism is that maybe they lack strong colour but that might be due to the fact they are Irish/Welsh misty type scenes or perhaps the DVD quality, but it is not too negative. One very attractive thing was the price, I was pleased with that.
