Back in the pre-stadium days!
Produced by John Leckie and written almost entirely in Rockfield studio this album is a particular favourite of mine. The jagged and unusual arrangements, the warped experimental sounds they came up with were a departure from Life In a Day.
Arista weren't happy and it resulted in them being dropped! However it got great reviews and was in Paul Morley's top ten of the year. John Peel played tracks off it, which is where I first heard it.
If you want a interesting and unusual addition to your collection from a band who ended up embracing 80's stadium rock...this is it!
Enjoy...it's worth it!
