Description: With their striking debut, CARNAVAS, L.A.'s Silversun Pickups were flooded with Smashing Pumpkins comparisons. Far from unfounded, this analogy is only furthered by the alt-rock band's sophomore studio album, SWOON, with its driving beat...

An excellent follow up to 2007's Carnavas

I really like the style and power of this music. It is very rocky but has some slow passages. Other reviews liken this style to the Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream era which is also a favorite album of mine.

  Fantastic album

I love them! It's an amazing album... I can't believe they are only a support band.
I would say that the only thing I dislike about the album is that it's too addictive.

I loved the first Silversun Pickups album and I've seen them live a couple of times and they were excellent. However, this album leaves me a little cold. Yes, it's enjoyable and much better than your standard indie nonsense but there's no real invention in it that there was in the first album. There's not a single song that blows you away, you just quite like it. A shame really as I'm sure this band are capable of a lot more.
