sigma 18-200mm DC OS lens.... canon EOS

i bought the sigma 18-200mm OS DC lens as a replacement for my canon 24-105mm f4 L IS USM lens. I needed a lens that was slighter wider and with an extended zoom range over the canon. Ideally it would have an optical stabiliser similar to canons image stabiliser. The sigma 18-200mm seemed to fit the bill. its not a budget lens at £449 but there are a plentiful supply of used lens around for between £190 and £270. I got lucky and found a mint item, boxed with light useage for £190. for my work which is mainly photographing still life subjects, i found the lens to be just as sharp as the canon. its not as well made as a canon L series but for the money im well happy. have a look what you can buy for around £200 with optical stabilisation, and a 18-200mm range... ou wont find much to compete.
