Shure SE210 sound isolating earphones

first of all i would just like to thank ebay seller timmy_green for this product along with the express postage which took only 1 day.
at £46.00 this was a real bargain considering the rrp on these is typically between £65-£75.
the Shure SE210 sit just above the SE110 of shure's SE series sound isolating earphones and by no means would you class these as entry-level earphones.
in the box come the earphones, a 0.9m extension 3.5mm stereo cable along with the user guide, a sleek carry case, a cleaning stylus tip and a pack of 3 different ear sleeves in 3 different sizes to suit any sized ear canal.
the default black sleeve was too big for my ear and i struggled to keep them in even for a minute or two, so changed them for a smaller sleeve which fit perfectly nice and tight and instantly attentuated background noise.
the speaker consists of a single driver unit which balance's out the low, mids and high frequency close to precision. the treble is crisp and sharp as is the mid range frequencies which sound very clear and natural.
the bass response is good, if not, above average its fair to say. the earphones can handle the bass without distortion no problem at all but i quiet honestly feel there isn't much depth in the low frequencies. as i said, theyr'e more balanced in how the speaker allocates so much power for each of the 3 frequencies.
the SE210 are what most people would call loud. when doing a volume test on them, i ran the volume almost full on my bose companion 3 control pod and was yet to hear and distortion. (i did have a soare eardrum for the next 10 mins or so may i add)
these are stylish looking earphones, aesthetically pleasing and ergonomic (regarding you have the perfect sleeve on) and can be very comfortable. they dont keep falling out like most ear bud headphones do.
people are willing to spend +/- £100 on an mp3 player and yet they are quiet happy to keep the default earphones in which most cases (let's be honest) don't do justice to the player. earphones are an integral part of the sound quality you will get sometimes more important than the player itself.
for around £65 you can pick up a new pair of SE210's which will enhance and bring your music to life, that's for sure.
i would recommend these earphones to anyone who is in the market for quality sound-isolating earphones, afterall, these are the best sounding earphones in the "under £70" range i have ever heard.
price - 7/10
style/looks - 9/10
sound/performance - 8.5/10
