When respected former Marine scout sniper Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg) is pressed into service to stop an assassination attempt against the President, the unthinkable occurs: he's double-crossed and framed for the attempt. Determined to prove his innocence, the rogue shooter is now in a high-tension race from every law enforcement agency in the country and a shadowy organisation that wants him dead.

This is a movie about a sniper (Mark Wahlberg) who is one of the best in his field. Something went wrong in the past and now he live alone in the woods. People from the government approach him because there is a plan of killing the president of the USA and they want someone with his knowledge in order to avoid it. He accepts but something goes very wrong and he accused for the murder of someone. Now he tries to prove that he is not the killer while everyone is looking for him.
Very nice movie, nice with straight forward plot. The script has no holes and Mark Wahlberg acting is a good one.
If you like action, snipers, shooting etc is must see.
A movie to buy because you can see it again many times without getting bored.

This film has conspiracy theories, military hardware and loads of action, I loved it from the start.

Great entertainment, definitely worth a second viewing.


Plot summary:

Bob Lee Swagger, (Mark Wahlberg) is an exceptional US Marine sniper who becomes a recluse after he and his partner are abandoned in a secret mission in Ethiopia.

Living in the Rockies, the secret service finds him and frame him for the attempted assassination of the US President.

Bob uses all his Military skills to track the people who framed him.

I brought the dvd for my husband, he had seen the film on the telly and really enjoyed it, it arrived extreemly quickly and in excellent condition.

I saw this movie on the TV and really enjoyed it. It's along the same lines as the Bourne Trilogy with lots of action and not too much of the love interest aspect. Even though I've watched it and know the story I enjoy watching it again. Actually bought it for a friend who I know will love it too - and I get to see it again of course!

I love this film as it's packed with action, a bit of romance and Mark Walberg is great (and utterly delicious) in it.
