Sex Lives Of The Potato Men (DVD 2004)

I only saw this on the tv last night and rushed to ebay.....it's gross, horrible etc. but brilliant in every respect. Not one to watch if you're eating your dinner in front of the box.
And the reason I've bought it?
I own a guest house....so if the contractors ask to borrow a dvd, this is the most appropriate I have ever seen! 'Cos yes girls, there really ARE blokes like that out there and some of 'em have stayed here.....
(And lucky for me there are the housetrained male of the species also, 'cos if they were all like this I'de have chucked this game in years ago.)
So this is a film for the girls also. Educational if you wish. What to avoid in a bloke if you spot the early warning signals.

I not a massive film buff and don't possess a film collection but this is a 'must have' to watch again and again side splitting from start to finish.

Rude but in a nice funny way worth watching for so many reasons. If you have a open mind and a silly sense of humour this is so the film for you.

This film is laugh out loud funny. The main characters are really funny but the part played by Kate Robbins has me in stitched especially when her mum came to visit - always remember to have a chair handy for that!!!! (once you have watched this you will know what I mean).
Brit comedy at its best.

Havent laughed so much for ages!! Johnny Vegas plays a great part as do the rest of the cast. Well worth watching.

NEVER MIND THE CRITTERS SORRY CRITICS THERE PAID FOR NOTHING, ALWAYS WATCH A MOVIE AND YOU DECIDE WETHER ITS FAB OR SHITE, THIS MOVIE IS JUST QUALITY AND VERY FUNNY, BUY IT WATCH IT AND PASS IT ON AND ENJOY, AND REMEMBER IT DOESNT MATTER WHERE YOU GET YOUR CAR PARKED.

After watching this, I couldn't think of any better British film. Well, Trainspotting perhaps. It's cringworthy, laugh out loud funny and it will put you off jam sandwiches, with or without fish paste, for life. And grannies.

this is what british humour should be like rude crued and really funny.its like a carry on film on steroids,stuff politically correctness.

The day to day misadventures of a group of four Birmingham potato merchants and their various attempts to either meet the right woman or have as much sex as possible - with varying levels of success. Watch out for Working Lunch's Adrian Chiles as an Orgy host - class!!

Simply put - crass, juvenile, lowest common denominator, toilet humour - and i loved it. Watched it with the lads after an evening out and laughed myself stupid. Not a film to challenge you in any way, or even to watch with your nearest and dearest - but if you want a few childish laughs - this is the film for you!

I saw the end of this film on television and thought it was so funny. So i decided to buy it. All the characters are funny. Well worth it. The critics hated this film, but i thought it was good.

Excellent film short but very sweet, if u like mr vegas and mr crook then this film is a must have. I brought this dvd because i love british films and comedy. Its certainly doing the rounds at the moment with all my friends and their friends very keen to watch it, and so far ive not had one negative remark on this film. Go on buy it, you know you want to. You will not be disapointed.

funny british comedy showing the life of potato delivery men. vegas is extremly good, a film that is well worth seeing.

an excellent british film based in the midlands,johnny vegas is full of his usual humour and comments. excellent 80,s music soundtrack such as dexy,s midnight runners.. film is based on 4 men that run a potato delivery firm and their quest for sex and love.. theres no real graphic sex in the film but i wouldnt recommend watching it with the children..
this has got to be one of the best british comedy,s ive seen to date
the film is one continous hilarious catalogue of events from start to finish
ive watched it many times over and never grown bored of it

A bit of fun, a good watch for a lads night in. Alas not enough of Makenzie Crook, he's the best. Needed a good bedroom seen with him and the lead gal.

Made me chuckle in places, good if you feel like a laugh. A bit disappointed though as everyone has raved about it-perhaps my expectations were high!

Sex Lives of the Potato Men is a hilarious comedy that takes the concept of gross-out to new heights. The Potato Men, Dave (Johnny Vegas), Ferris (Mackenzie Crook), Tolly (Dominic Coleman) and Jeremy (Mark Gatiss) work for a potato distribution warehouse in Birmingham.

Dave longs for the soft porn lifestyle but he’s married with a kid. But when his wife throws him out, threesomes and group sex become a reality rather than a fantasy. Since his wife left, Ferris has taken full advantage of being young, free and single. But he’s also skint and forced to live with his mother-in-law who asks that her rent be paid in kind! Tolly, on the other hand, has never really recovered from his wife walking out on him. The whole ordeal has left him traumatized and the only way he can find satisfaction is by recreating his most memorable experiences with jam and fish paste sandwiches … Jeremy is the manager of the Potato Men and as such, thinks he’s a bit of a cut above the rest. He claims to enjoy wine, books and chess but in reality spends the majority of his spare time stalking his ex-girlfriend, sending her hate mail and kidnapping her dog. As their antics become ever more outrageous, you can’t help feeling that despite everything, there’s something of the Potato Men in every bloke.

funnyest film ever this is one for your colection jonny vegas is back at what he does best even without his monkey!!

I brought this dvd as I already own a video recording of this very funny film Its really down to earth and hilarious and very well acted. All the cast were great in it. Its funny from beginning to end. The quality is even better on a dvd.

i had see this film on the tv and wanted to get it well my hubby was in to it more than me realy its a very sexual film very funny with british actors johnny vagus and if you have ever see the priates of the carrabeian the guy with the wooden eye in that film is in this the potato men deliver potatos thats there job all sorts of going on in this film if your in to rude comadey then this is for you .

it was a fantastic funny film kept me laughing all way through it.

Fantastic film, saw it on the tele some years ago and thought it was brilliant then, you don't want to be eating your dinner when you're watching it as it is quite crude in places but a very very funny film to watch.
It's doing the rounds now on friends and family.
