Seven Brides For Seven Brothers (DVD 2001)

As teenagers my friends and i used this musical/film to cheer any one of us up when needed. 7 Brides and a tub of ice cream and your worries are put on hold. I would highly recommend this film to anyone with a sense of humor or just a love of Howard Keel in his younger days. Classic story with amazing songs, 'can't get no sleep with a bunch of sheep, can't make no vows to a heard of cows' - tell me that wouldn't make you smile!! I bought this DVD as part of a xmas present for my best friend to remind her of our teenage years and it certainly put a smile on her face. We have since watched it together with a tub of ice cream - miracle stuff!!! Go for it, make someone smile.

A classic film I wanted to add to my collection first film I was allowed to go to with my cousin who 2yrs older without parents though we were very grown up, brings back lots of good memories & hope to buy more classics I have enjoyed over the years

I bought this dvd for my mother-in-law for her birthday. I watched hers and i thoroughly enjoyed it, so i bought one for myself. This film is very entertaining, it has some very funny parts in it, and also some sad parts too.The acting and singing in it is suberb. I never really thought of watching a musical film, but glad i did, i have watched this film many times, and i still enjoy it.There is nothing to dislike in this film. so this is a film for all the family to watch of any age.

Another musical with plenty of song and dance. I bought this film as its one of my favourite musicals and have wanted it for some time. The choreography is superb.

I decided to buy it because i like musicals, and would recommended it to anyone who likes musicals. I also like the fact that the men go after what they what I wish there was more people like that.

i love this old musical and its feel good factor i bought the dvd because my copy on video was worn i will be purchasing more old musicals in the future to replace worn out tapes

the quality of the film was fantastic, was worried that after so long the quality may of deterioated, i couldnt of been more wrong.

Excellent, wonderful film if you like musicals and has stood the test of time. The original movie was made in 1953 and over 50 years on still looks and sounds delightful...

the wife and i, although not what you would call old today are over 50 and remember seeing the film as youngsters. we kept missing the beginning of the film when shown on tcm (sky) and didn't like the breaks. so having seen it on e-bay decided to get it.the film was fantastic and the seller was not only very fast, but also a good price was asked

This is a film you will either love or hate!
I personally love it the story line is great and the songs are sooo catchy i often find myself singing them.
This film also appels to young people as im only 16 and i enjoy this film so had to buy it!
Overall it is a brilliant film to watch an old one but still good and i would recomend watching this film as it soooooooooo good!!

this is probably one of the best times you can have. Get comfortable and enjoy this...learn the songs...sing along...It is so sexist and un PC it is sooo wrong. Fabulous lines loads of fun, dreadful backdrops, old style pole dancing by the girls...amazing axe dancing by the boys. And probably the best barn building routine ever. Teeanagers should be made to watch this !!

I adore this film. On a cold winters day, light the fire, snuggle on the sofa with a pot of tea and indulge yourself. A proper old-fashioned musical, fabulous choreography and Howard Keel belting out a few gems. A real feel good film - shame they don't make them like that anymore!

My daughter loves thso film as she always watches it at her grandparents and she wrote it on her xmas list from santa. Old films are the best!!!!

I have seen this film so many times and i always buy it for people who love the theatre and poeple than mean anythign to me that haven't already seen this film. It is a timeless classic and, should as has been in my family, passed from generation to genertion. I love this film and the acting in it. Can't recommened it enough to everyone.

i did not like this dvd as it stopped when it was part way through and so it was faulty and should not have been sold

Fantastic musical, Ideal sunday afternoon film. Makes me smile every time i watch it. Good old fashioned family entertainment.
