Firefly comes to it's full glory

When Fox cancelled the show 'Firefly', Josh Weedon's alternative science fiction and almost-but-not-entirely space adventure, with a lot potential was cut and left bleeding, just when the seeds became to grow and develop into flowers. 'Serenity' is a sequel movie to this Firefly show. I think it was made to show in a 'forced' way what the potential of the series could have been. Unfortunately, Weedon had to grow the characters artificially fast. I think this movie should have been positioned after about 26 episodes (my guess). The 'modified' or enhanced capacities of 'River Tam', one of the main characters, should become quite obvious by then. Actually, Serenity seems to be a compressed version of a theoretical second season, without the first was ever completed. That's a shame, but it was Fox decision to cancel, and not Weedon's, so I can't blame him for this jump-in-evolution, as cinema has other needs than a television show. Seen in that perspective, I found Serenity (which I saw before I knew Firefly) to be a very amusing, pretty intelligent SF movie that was a real blessing for this genre, due to the immense human factor that is present, rather than bleeping robots and horrible monsters. Well... this latter not entirely true, but hey... I won't take away every surprise :-)
