A Sense Of Freedom (DVD 2004)

i dont dislike anything about this dvd i would recommend others to watch it
i brought it for my husband whose mad on films about prisons and true life and gangsters uyou know the sorts haha.He put it on straight away and i never heard anything off him for a good couple of hours (purebliss).Its a good film and its about the prison life of jimmy boyle ,i am recommending 2 all 2 watch it .

I'm no great fan of movies about 'hard blokes' but this one really grabbed me... I'd been recommended it years ago by m'dad, and only just got around to watching it. The story of a bloke getting bumped from prison to prison, as none of them can handle him. For me, the most frightening thing in the movie wasn't Boyle - it was the British prison system... i don't know if things are still run that way now, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Having read the book and seen the film a few years ago, I was wanting my husband to see the film also as he had just read the book too. although the film was good it really does'nt reflect as well as the book but then not many films do.

This is an excellent film based on a true story. Any Essex Boys or Kray film fans - would love this.

ive been trying to get hold of this film for years now .as i lent the copy i had to a friend that i never got back .it the best prison film ive ever seen

i remember this play when i seen it many years ago,and when i seen i could buy it on ebay i had to have it, and when i seen it again i was overjoyed with the quality of it

fantastic film with great stars and well acted as well but brought sad memories back to many people who remember the voilence and killings

i was struggleing what to buy a friend for his birthday.
I new he liked films based on true stories so i gambled.
I GOT IT RIGHT HE LOVED IT

I spent time in Barlinnie prison with Jimmy Boyle, in the early 60's and can relate to this excellent portrayal of life in the penal system during this period. However Boyle went down in my estimation when he befriended Myra Hindlay, and used to visit her when he was released.

I LIKE IT BECUASE IT IS A TRUE STORY.I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I AM SCOTTISH AND LIVED DUREING THAT PIECE OF HISTORY.I THOUGHT THE ACTING WAS BRILLANT.

the film is really quite good but didnt like the amount of bad language. the reason i bought this film is because its my boyfriends favourite movie

it is a true story, well acted and i bought it for my partner for xmas and he absoloutly loves it. its his favourite and watches it often.

I had been wanting to see this film again for a few years, was reluctant to pay £30-£40 for the video because of its rarity. So you can imagine my joy when I found it on Ebay....Brand new on DVD....Buy it now for £9 including P/P.
The film lived up to how I remembered it, hard hitting and brutal, and left me with a feeling of dread about prison life. One of the best hard man prison films I have seen.
