Sega 32x. Much better than you might think.

A great add on for your megadrive/genesis system that really does make a difference. Although i only own 3 32x games i can tell you that they look far better on my 28" rear projection screen (scart) than on any youtube video. Doom is incredibly smooth for such detailed graphics and starwars has great 3rd person graphics as well as first. The console itself is capable of almost ps1 style graphics and supirior sound. However because of its difficulty to develop games for few were released and now cost a fair bit. It is very easy to set up and once it's going it wont fail on you. However that is where its problem lies. At least for my 3 megadrives (both model 1 and 2)it must be placed perfectly parralel to the cart slot for it to ever load games past the title screen, i know its trivial but it can litterally take 15-20 attempts to place it in correctly.
However if your in doubt of whether or not to get one, ask yourself:
Do i like arcade style games?
Do i mind basic 3d graphics?
Do i have a scart or better tv connection? (without one it looks horrific)
Do i play my sega enough to make it worth the £40-90 price tag?
I truely love mine, however im a big sega fan so i guess i would do, but if you do get your hands on one i reccomend, virtua fighter (you quickly get over the polygons), star wars arcade (y-wing 2 player is a great laugh) and Doom becasue well its doom, still scary, looks great, great music...with sucky quality and you shoot demons in the face with shotguns! Doesnt get much better.
Sega 32x add on: 8/10 If only it had more games and didnt take so many damn attempts to fit correctly.
