I had been a fan of Scott Walker in my teens and having seen the recent documentary about him and his music, wanted to hear those songs again - so I looked on eBay for a CD, found one and absolutely LOVE IT! The songs sound as good as new and at an hour and a half long is brilliant value for money. Well worth it and absolutely fantastic. *****

This is pure nostalgia for those who remember the trio. Many many years passed without my giving them a thought – I saw it advertised on eBay and on a whim bid on it. But listening to it brought back so many memories. Scott Walker had a very clear and identifiable voice – the songs are easy to listen to whilst driving and as background music. I think the album is timeless and I am glad I won it.

Scott Walker's voice is divine, mellifluous, like vocal liquid chocolate champagne, sensitive, sensual and very sincere... these real kindred spirit brothers have been around for a long time, 1964, and so have I.

Forever more, close your eyes and dream and you can be with me... long forgotten now, close the windows close the lights, let it out, let it all begin....cast your seasons to the wind.....all's forgotten now.....it will be alright...

Each song is like a mini-novel, a jewel of magnified emotional relationships... no regrets no goodbyes... we'd only cry again... well, we have all been there a few times so.....
My ship is coming in baby......

Why is this a great CD?

Because sometimes late at night I watch the firelight and make pictures and remember you...love lost and still true in my heart... what might have been.. calling me back home... to the present....

Scott does a remarkable cover version of the great
"Jacques Brell's Ne me qui Depart"
"If you go away on this summer day, as i know you will you must tell the world to stop turning for what good is love without loving you etc..
which is a rare accomplishment in English and the original french....

There is an uneasy feeling about some of these songs because it makes me think about changes and options in my life which I could make instead of allowing life to choose for me....

Yet I find myself .... Like Walking in the Rain ... never never now... like walkiing in the rain....
What good is love without loving you.....if you go away...

These songs are real soul-searchers for those of us who have felt like victims in our relationships and are in recovery from this because we need our feelings and memories and yet they will take us to the next healthy space of growing and wholesome recovery.

This CD gives me hope for the past, present and future of the industry because people are deeply influenced by music and vocals which have true quality and contain integrity of healthy life experiences.

We all need mentors and music is a powerful vehicle for positive and negative
influences and changes in our Beautiful World.....

i have been very please by all my buying from ebay and the cd is great i seem to buy things from ebay all the time now its GREAT

i have liked the Walker Bros since i was about 12 and think Scott Engell's voice is really great got deep meaning to it, so when i saw this cd was real interested. Anyway it is 100% tops.

Scott Walker,had,and has,an amazing voice.
This CD includes all of the Walker Brothers major hits(i.e "The Sun aint gonna shine anymore","Make it easy on yourself","My ship is coming in",and "Love her"etc),as well as the two hits Scott Walker enjoyed as a solo artist.

Scott walker so dominated the group that John Maus,and gary Leeds played a very minor part being reduced to just a few harmonies,and Gary leeds wasn't even allowed to play Drums on the Singles so a session man was used.

The two Scott Walker hits "The Lights of Cincinati",and "Joanna" are good vehicles for his voice, but by this time Scott was planning yet another direction for his music which culminated in strange Albums that were only purchased by his diehard fans.

This is a very deecnt compilation though,and is highly recommended to both Sixties fans,and those looking for a fairly comprehensive overview of their recordings.

All the hits and more good value for money.The Walker Brothers' hits especially good.Favourites include walking in the rain.
