School Of Rock (DVD 2004)

School of Rock rocks! - Jack Black is in his absolute element and I suspect was allowed to do his own thing to a certain degree (Tenacious D fans will know what I mean) . There is good comedy and awesome tunes. A great laugh for all family. It's a bit like sister act mixed with Rock Star (mark wahberg) - watch it!!

This movie gets funnier and funnier everytime you watch it. What more could you ask for?! Jack Black plays an out of work 'band' member who, desperate for work, tricks his way into substitute teaching a 5th grade class. His teaching 'technique' is hysterical as he gets the kids to form a rock band. Jack Black's performance as 'Dewey Finn' is brilliant and funnily enough Jack Black has been in a band himself (he actually sings in the movie) amongst his many blockbuster successes. The cast of kids in the film are also excellent, many you may have seen before and others I am sure will be rising stars. The sound track is actually quality as well (reliving the 70s/80s). I highly recommend School of Rock. Its great for adults and equally as good for kids. All round good choice.

Brill film for all ages. Jack Black is a genious. Such a funny, feel good film with a great ending.

Kids love this DVD, watch it constantly, I have even taken a sneaky viewing and enjoyed it myself, takes me back a few years to when I was a teenager, hurt my neck headbanging though!!! Daren't tell the kids that !! Just don't turn the volume up full or the neighbours will be banging on the wall!!

This must be one of the best films of all time! Jack Black at his best. This film is very funny and watchable over and over again. Great music. Suitable for the whole family to sit and watch together. Excellent soundtrack CD also available.

i was surprised to find out that this film is infact a pg for some strange reason i thought it was a 15 which was a releif for my 2 kids as they laughed there socks off at it a great family film to watch esp with all this lovely weather during the summer holidays ( i`m sure the rains getting warmer." jack black asserting himself as an actor .

loved this d.v.d nothing i didnt like about it. funny lots of laughs even my son loved it. had wached it on t.v and you wait along time before it comes on again so wanted to buy it and we can watch it when ever we want. great film its a must.

Jack Black is just fantastic in this film. He's the teacher that all kids wish they could have, and even if you are no fan of Rock music, the tracks in this are quite catchy. Great ending too.

It's great for all the family: enjoyable for adults, not something that will annoy you if it's played over and over (as my kids do), and nothing in there to offend Grandma.

Great film. Thought it would be just for the teenagers but I thoroughly enjoyed it (and I am much older than a teenager). Great music in it too.

Brilliant film - My budding rock star of 8years old was inspired to learn the guitar because of this film and whenever he needs a push to practice, we watch it again!!

Love - the anarchy, the fact the kids aren't a walk over, the setting, the music, the script, the cast, those kids really have talent, but of course the essential ingredient which makes this film is Jables!!!

i saw this film on sky and just had to have it watch when i wanted to,being a family of musicians,this is just our kind of thing,and there is not anything oubout it that we hate.

I really enjoyed this film. I saw it when it first came out in the cinema, and was glad to own it on DVD.

Jack Black is absolutly funny in this film. There are loads of references to rock music, such as Floyd, Ramones etc so it's something for all the family - it actually makes you want to dig out your old CD's!

Jack Black rocks as do the 'apprentice' Heavy metallers he coaches into the world of rock music, bought this one for my 8 year old son and he loves it, safe enough for all the family to watch as well.

One of the funniest films I have seen for a long time. Saw it by chance of TV. Just had to get a copy, in fact bought two - one for me and one for a friend. Even bought a CD of the soundtrack. All within a few hours thanks to eBay !

I just love this film - ok its corny and you kw a lot of what going to happen before it really does and of course you know where its going to lead but hey................. this film is great for the songs, the corny story line and for just sitting watching a rib tickling film when you need a good laugh. I saw it a couple of times on DVD and TV then just had to go out and buy it myself, think it will be one of my all time classics. My partner is very critiacal of films and i thought that he would hate it but even he thought it was a laugh.
