Top film; DVD transfer could be better

Great film - although widely panned by anybody remotely critical.
This UK DVD transfer is single layer, letterboxed, non-amamorphic. The picture aspect ratio is approximately the theatrical 1.85:1 and there are no special features.
It plays for about 84 minutes, whilst the original film was 103 minutes in length - which on a PAL DVD should play for about 99 minutes. So someone has lopped out a quarter of an hour somewhere, which is a bit of a shame. Certainly those 15 minutes wouldn't make any different to those that say it is a bad film, but I'd like to see them.
The sound is Dolby Digital mono (!) which is also a shame since the original production was apparently distributed with 6-track sound and the laserdisc has stereo sound, albeit dodgy and compressed.
The Oz DVD release is the same in all regards, even though it claims to be 103 minutes long and also claims to be of 4:3 aspect ratio.
The American DVD is apparently the equivalent cut length. I gather it is 4:3 but I know nothing of the sound.
Watch it and enjoy: Farrah gets her kit off. (And so does Kirk, if you happen to like that sort of thing.)
