Samsung VP-DC161 DVD Camcorder

Economical, easy to use. I had same model previously - and unfortunately that broke down soon after the gurantee ran out !!!! So I am keeping the old one as spares !!!!

Received camcorder and at first i was sceptical after reading some reviews. After a brief read of the manual which is essential so you know how to format and finalise discs its easy to use. Battery life a littled limited but the heavy duty batteries are cheap to come by. I dont understand the negative reviews this cam has received. I have a sony dv and it stands up well against it. no problems.

I chose to buy it because it seemed good value. However, the whole experience went very wrong when the seller had clamed he had sent it and we have never received it. We had to reclaim our losses through PayPal resolution centre. PayPal decided in our favour.

This is exceptional as I say if it dont work at least you can find out something about them, if you can't get it working give it the kids as a toy. These are in like new condition and from what I can see these are like b grade condition, if you can get them working then you have real bargin, I will drop it in to Jessops in the next few days and see what they can tell me about it, I still consider this as REAL BARGIN and a first class seller thank you

we wanted a dvd camcorder for our holidays. we saw this and won it. it is wonderful i would recommend this camcorder to everyone it works like a dream and takes great recordings. AAAAAAA++++++++++

So far we have had no problems with it. I charge the battery and i can record both sides of the disc.

I am quite a technophobic and even I can operate it.

I love the fact that once recorded you can take the DVD out of the camcorder and straight into your DVD player.

I read some bad reviews AFTER winning the bid, so was a little disappointed. Then the camera arrived, (my first camcorder) and within 20 minutes I had recorded a clip. I am well impressed and looking forward to using it properly.
