Samsung VP-D351 Mini DV Camcorder

This handy little camcorder is a great start for any beginner to the media world. It's lightweight material makes it easy to move and operate. It boasts a high resolution TFT screen and has 900x digital zoom with 20x optical zoom. The camcorder has some clever tricks including night vision, a digital image stabilser, various digital effects and fade. It records on a normal MINI dv tape and you can watch your movies on your tv by plugging the camcorder into a av socket. Unfortunately though this camcorder doesn't have USB connectivity, so to transfer data between your pc and camcorder you will need a firewire card and lead, they can be picked up from ebay for around £7. I would advise buying an extra battery just in case it runs out at the wrong time, that way you have a back up when needed. I can't compare this to other camcorders as it is my first one but all said, I am chuffed that I bought it as it does the job I need it to do!
