This is a great slimline phone and up to now has met all my needs. The camera is far better than the one found on the Samsung F480 which I owned for around two weeks until a friend showed me the ultra. The camcorder is fantastic, though the sound can be a bit distorted if filming in a noisy enviroment. It bluetooth set-up is fast and connects to all makes of phone in seconds. I did try the Iphone but was very disapointed and decided to buy the ultra instead. The music and video players are easy to use and downloading music and video clips is a breeze. Photos look pin sharp. G3 and phone signal is good. If your thinking of buying a touch screen phone then have a look at the Ultra before buying other top branded and more expensive (Apple IPHONE) and I am sure you wont be disapointed.

My wife got this a couple of days ago, it looks really trendy BUT i think this phone is aimed at women. I just cannot use the touch screen functions. Its packed with features such as 8mp camera, 3g, widgit, google, and many more apps. I bought here a 4GB mem card off ebay, ONLY £7.40 ??? bargain!!!

So guys i suggest you leave this one and buy it for the ladies, it is the pink/red one, but there is a blue one which looks nice aswell.

I bought this phone as an upgrade from my standard tocco thinking that it would be very similar only with some better features. While it is a good phone with lots of good features its a shame samsung changed the menu style to a black background with white writing, this proved no good for me as i have less than average eye sight so couldnt read it propperly. Concequently i had to re sell the phone. In conclusion a very nice phone with lots of good features but hard to read unless you have perfect eye sight!!

I absolutely love this phone. It is brilliant. And not only that but it looks so cool, and and it is such a nice phone to look at, I am so glad I got it. The camera is fantastic, and I love the option of using the touch screen to text or call somebody, instead of using the keypad. I love that their is both red, and blue. So both sexes can have it if they wanted.
I have no complaints whatsoever about this phone, it is great! Best phone there is. I would recommend it to anyone, and everyone. If you are thinking about getting this phone, seriously, do get it. 10/10. XD

few glitches with firmware and speed of processing that could of been sorted with better testing,

*** VERY POOR battery life***
however Samsung provide with a new battery / spare, although many reviews about this and people having to turn 3g, blue tooth etc all off just for a few days of battery...

all features are very good although lacking in a few key areas including voice activated dialling so cant use with headset in car... and limited ways in which you can adjust settings in comparison to nokia's is also an issues for me. however i am sure i will get used to this.

Good: Camera, Clear Screen, easy to use.
Bad: Lacking in key features expected, very very poor battery, firmware bugs still present.

I needed a change of phone and wanted to up scale the camera. After using it for 4 weeks now, the phone has been very good so far. Excellent camera with 8 megapixels and the touchscreen is a lot more responsive than earlier Samsung models.

The only down side is the battery life, I nearly have to recharge my battery every night even though I wouldn't say I use it excessively. Apart from that the rest of the features are spot on. 4 out of 5.

This mobile is amazing!
Ive loved it ever since i saw it being advertisted on the tele, and when i found out that it was available on PAYG i was like 'that is mine' only to be disheartened to find that its like £400 store bought! i mean come on?! who would ever pay that?!

I paid £180 for this phone on ebay.
And yes for a phone that is extremely expensive, but for the phone it is cheap.
It is perfect
the camera is amazing, the touch screen is superb! The style is spot on! there is only one complaint i have about this phone in the first week that i have had it, and that is, while texting you have to touch a button on the screen to delete a wrong letter, which sounds stupid but it doesnt really go in the flow of texting, and i have no yet found a way to go back through my text instead of having to delete it all to get to a certain letter. But that is its only fault

If you can find this phone at a good price i recommend it !!
It is perfect for anyone who likes gadgets and taking photos, listening to music etc bla, so really just any teenagers! (Its good to have with you on a night out instead of a fat camera in your bag!! )

great looking slim phone with amaing clarity of screen and camera.The video it can shoot is amazing. the tooch screen is no iphone but works well. good download speeds. its a pain you can not hot swap the memory card and samsung still do this crappy 'only use samsung headphones' thing but at least you can plug 3.5mm headphones into the handfree.

This phone was purchased because my old phone had almost completely given up.
It is really easy to use and looks brilliant. The camera is fantastic and has grat features. I really like little details about this phone, you can even change the font style. This phone is brilliant and is highly reccommended, the only downside i can see is that the touch screen gets loads of fingerprints on it, but i guess it happens to them all.

The S8300 is a mix of style and practicality, with both the function of a touch phone and a slide phone. What I like, though, about this particualr item was the seller's honesty in listing the phone as a refurbished one. To be honest, he/she could have passed listing it as a new phone and (possibly) fetch a higher price. The item came yesterday, and to my delight, spotless and works like a charm. The phone itself is not for me but rather for my 18-year brother whom I think this will be the best present ever that I am giving him. On the downside, (not the seller's fault but more of Samsung's) for a phone of this calibre and indeed price, the S8300 did not come with Windows Mobile. I suspect this is due to the fact that the phone itself has very limited memory and I shall look into boosting the memory with a MicroSD card (16GB is about enough to store all my brother's music). This might seem cliche, but I do very much recommend the seller as the communication, speed of delivery, and the description of the items listed are exquisite.

It has only been two days since I have got my hands on the S8300 and so far I am very satisfied with it's stability and the sound output (pardon me, but I keep on comparing it to the Omnia which I am using). Perhaps the S8300 will be more exciting and a more enjoyable piece of communication tool with the installation of the Windows Mobile 6.5 (though I doubt it is compatible). Oh well, I've got a new S8300 for £120, what more can I possibly ask for?

I wanted to buy the samsung tocco ultra as soon as i saw it on the tv commercial because it incorperated my two favourite styles of mobile phone, touch screen and slider, also because it looked sleek and stylish and i had a samsung before so i know it's a reliable make. But i wasn't able to buy i because it was so expensive until i saw it on ebay for a lot less but still a new phone.

Some of the things i like about it is that it isn't to big and chunky, it has a really rich shade of red, not a bright tomato red, it has a really advanced camera with lots of effects and templates which are cool to play with and it has lots of tools and applications to play with. I am really glad i choose this phone over many others, for example, the LG viewty!

i love the phone very easy to use even if your old like me lol never had a touchscreen before did not think i would like,but its quite simple.battery life could be better thats the only let down have to charge daily regards andy b

Its a stylish phone and great design.
However i am not used to touch phones, so its okay. I have trouble using the phone to text. Camera is brilliant.
Would recommend it to any person that likes samsung and touch.
