Samsung SGH-E720

Its so easy to use and has got so many cool features. Its very light weight and small so fits nice into your handbag on a girls night out... It is a bit loud when you make a call but i can still here every word and no one has complained that they cant here me.!! Over all I think that this phone is well worth buying.

When I viewed the Samsung e720 I didn’t think much about the style of the phone, but have you ever heard the saying "A wolf in sheep's clothing"?
I was given one of these not so long ago, soon as I started putting it through its paces I suddenly realised it was a Samsung D500 in a flip/clam format. First of all was the clarity of the screen, it was as sharp as a crystal and bright with vibrant colours. The next thing to do was make a phone call to my wife. When she answered, the volume through the e720 earpiece was loud to the point of being painful, I had to reduce the volume about 50% then it was crisp and clear as a bell. My wife commented on the clarity of the incoming call to her from the e720, so it passed that test hands down! It has an excellent MP3 player, which can be accessed with the phone shut and viewing the tracks on the outer screen and selecting tracks to be played with the ability of 3D stereo sound through the use of earphones and a graphic equaliser to adjust sound quality.
The bluetooth is faultless and with the typical setup on most Samsung phones you are able to roam about in other phone files selecting the files you want to download. The ring tones are loud and have the option of setting your own personal ring tone via a file downloaded to your phone or a voice, recorded by the voice recorder function. Sadly no personal option for text alerts, you can only use the preset ones built into the phone and are short and quiet.
The 1-megapixel camera is up to the job for taking pictures and also video recording with sound, and has two super bright LED's for use as a flash or torch in dark conditions, but the LED’s are only good for very close pictures, approx two feet distance away from the phone.
Battery life is excellent, the phone I have on test has been running for about five days (on standby) and is still showing half full, it also has a very short charging requirement of approx an hour for a full charge.
For an older phone this will still keep up and in some cases pass the more modern phones, and is a cheap buy compared to more modern phones of today.

I have owned a Sam sung E720 before and up graded to a D600.
Having gave away my E720 i really missed it,so i decided to get one from ebay.
It had every thing i wanted in a mobile phone which i am sure if you read every one elses reviews i guess its pretty much the same how ever i must warn you regardless of which model you choose always ask if RESTRICTED SERVICE is high lighted on the screen before ever making a purchase or bid, this will tell you that the mobile is BLOCKED mainly because it has been reported lost or stolen and their nothing you can do about it and never buy a phone if the seller are not the original owner this can cause problems in the long run should they or some one else have submitted there details at the time of purchase with a network provider and should you have problems with the hand set and attempt to get help from a service provider ie o2/ orange ect WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE again you have a useless phone.
Also make sure that if you buy a phone off e bay that the seller excepts Pay pal that way if you are not happy you can open a dispute against the seller if they refuse you a refund and you are more likely to get your money back through pay pal protection. Check out pay pal buyer and seller £500 free protection it is well worth taking on board.
This what happened to me, i won a e720 and when i received it i found it blocked, the seller refused to refund me and having made the mistake of sending a postal order i could not get any cash back protection.
I have since been to the police who are taking this matter seriously as it falls under fraud and the sellers details have been past on, that is all i can do.
So take my advice be careful and use my tips to safe guard your self.

I bought this phone because what I wanted was the MP3 player on it, can sound a bit tinny without the headphones in, but I always use the headphones, buttons also on the outside to control the MP3 player so you can keep the phone closed. Nice size screen and good colours. Also another good point is Bluetooth, so easy to transfer files from the PC to Phone. Nice large screen to play those Java games to. Seems to be a good phone at a reasonable price at the moment, if you are like me and didnt want to spend much. So far no complaints.

i bought the phone to have as a spare and thats just what i got all its good for is spares it works the sound is tinny key board is worn the phone is unlocked but nothing works so i just ring carnt text or use mms so the phone went in the bin and i will not buy another one thank you

I purchased this phone because the phone i purchased acouple of months ago, and payed by Paypel never arrived. Having lost £40 on that purchase I thought i would try again, however this phone has not arrived yet either.Has my faith in Paypal been an error

The phone itself is very good.
No expandable memory but holds quite alot anyway.
Nice and easy to use and is just an all round good mobile phone.

This stylish flip phone phone is for starters probably the most comfortable flip phones around to use, I guess samsung doen some work on the design, although it's not much different from it's little brother the e700 (which I also owned).

The phone itself jammed packed with the usual features, camera (good but not stunning although it does have a flash), video (again passable) and it will even play your mp3's so you can annoy people on public transport if the mood takes you, although the sound qulaity I find leaves a little to be desired. Gadgets aside though this is a cool little phone and I've always found te sound qualtiy in conversations pretty good to excellent, with the ability to turn people down (volume control on the side of the phone can be adjusted during calls), a real bonus.

I have been trying to upgrade my e720 for about a year now but as yet I haven't found a phone that I like as much as it. Yes some of the new phones on the market have more features but this little gem is just brilliant and I guess thats the best review I can give the phone.

Having had mine over two years now, it still looks in good condition, despite being dropped occasionally, so if your looking for a robust little flip phone thats a doddle to use, the e720 may well be just what your looking for.

I needed a phone, any phone, because my old one died, and the Samsung SGH-E720 happened to be available second hand.
I am impressed by it, compact and not easy to damage in my pocket, with lots of features I hadn't expected from a cheap phone. The battery life is not great.

I needed a new cell phone as the one I was using was just borrowed and it didnt have the ability to download ring tones or anything like that.

This phone has great amount of storage and allows you to download ringtones and mp3 music which you can play when you are out walking if you have a little set of earphones. I must admit the price was right as I couldnt afford to pay out what the more modern phones are costing these days and also the camera takes great pics so I was really pleased as well...

this is a great phone and has a excellent video camara which is ideal for a spot of home grown porn.......10/10.

this is a compact and sturdy flip phone its menu appearance is really nice and visibly bright with a clear picture through the camera the battery life is not great though all in all a nice little phone.

Bought for my dad, its his third samsung clamshell and he loves it. He works in agriculture and needed a phone that won't phone people in his pocket, offers some resisitance to dust and he can work without his glasses on, apparently this phone forfills all 3. To my fathers dissappointment the manufactures seem to not make clamshells anymore.

Sturdy and practical. all the features you need, and I love the twin headlamps. Pity it uses a different plug to my SGH E530 - I cannot see any reason for this, but it means that I carry two wall chargers,two car chargers two data cables, etc. Also you can copy data from SIM to phone but not the other way. Mp3 controls on the front is a neat feature too if your into muzak

I love this phone for its simplicity and yet very user friendly. it is small enough to go in your pocket and a covered main screen to prevent damages. The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it has no expandable memory. I baught this phone because I felt tired of buying expensive phones with applications and functions I never use.

i love the phone but it had a broken camera which was not advised when i brought it, as if i had knowen i would not have brought it.
