Samsung Q1. Is it worth it? Oh yes, you bet it is!

If you are thinking about buying one of these, don't. Just buy it! Outstanding machine, every bit as good as a laptop and in many ways a lot better. It is a tablet, so the touch screen is very handy. It is a slate, so you can use just the stylus and journal. It is a voice recorder - in STEREO.
It is a full windows Xp machine in its own right and with the bundled USB keyboard with mouse, the bundled Folio case and the ton of other stuff that is standard, you have a portab le office. This is like the electronic filofax you always wanted and about the same size. It also replaces both desktop and laptop PC. Having a reasonable size 40Gb hard drive, a modest 512mb ram and a very good screen, this is really a great gadget.
It comes bundled with 2 batteries, a standard one and a long-life one. The latter giving about 5hours use easily. The whole package just oozes quality and cleverness. Very well designed, astheticly pleasing, plug and play out of the box and not, as commented by the Gadet show, slow at all. I have loaded office 2007 on mine and have watched a full AVI movie on it without the slightest glitch or frame dropped (I use GOM player).
To sum up, this is worth every penny of the average price of £400 for this. Make sure it is the full bundle with keyboard and portfolio case. You will not be disappointed. Once the penny drops that this really is as good as a laptop, as good as a tablet, as good as a slate and as good as a desktop all in one, these will get harder to source I suspect. A really, really top buy and 100% recommended.
