Samsung NC10 (NP-NC10-KA02UK) Netbook

The only bad point for me is the size of the mouse pad which could have been a little bigger. The problem is that when directing the pointer you always happen to activate the scroller which then flicks the page up and down in a irritating fashion.

Its a fast little machine, I love the size. After using it for a couple of days I had to download some photos on to my girlfriends standard laptop. It felt like I had a 1970's 26" TV on my lap.

The sound is good with the onboard HD Sound Mixer which you can personalise.

In conclusion I love it and would recommend to anyone who wants to down size.

Great little notebook. Has some good features like a built in camera and WIFI/Blue tooth connectivity.
Only weird thing is they give you 2 discs if you need to recover Windows but as it hasnt got a DVD/CD player how you go about doing that I wouldnt know!
Much better if they had provided a USB stick with them on.

Not only is this best looking netbook but it has the best battery life and the best specs on any netbook for that price I have seen.

I done some research on the net before I bought this & it got very good reviews universally (I'm actually using it to write this).

I bought it in black and it looks classy with the gloss & the chrome\metal side but it also looks brilliant in the rarer blue colour. Its packed with features like a 1.3 mega-pixel camera (great for video calling), Bluetooth (great for data transfer), Wi-Fi (it has a pretty good range), Windows XP(probably the most popular operating system out there), an anti-bacterial keyboard (a very nice touch), vga connection (which you can connect to some LCD TVs), 160gb hard space (plenty of space), 1gb RAM (pretty fast), SD card slot (rather convenient) & more...
I managed to put Microsoft Office on it from a USB stick & it is also very easy to upgrade the RAM to 2gb if you want it to be even faster (it only costs around £16!!!). But the speed is plentiful for general use unless you intend to do a lot of multi-tasking. The touch-pad is small but you can get use to it fairly quickly but I prefer using an optical mouse via USB instead. If you do want to use the touch-pad I REALLY recommend you turn off the double-tap option. You can even buy external blu-ray drives for it via USB from £83!!!
I'm still getting use to the keyboard, you can't seem to permanently turn off the Wi-Fi & for some reason when watching videos a while it lowers the screen brightness by itself?!
But the whole netbook has a real quality feel about it & its best feature is its value for money. FANTASTIC VALUE!!! I managed to get mine for £272 brand new so look around for the best deal.

I baught this netbook after checking for best reviews and am not dissapointed it works like a dream with it's big keyboard and clear screen, also the battery lasts for ages so i'm not tied to wall socket as was the case with my previous laptop.

Wanted a portable laptop but smaller than standard size and Samsung NC10 fitted the bill perfectly. Compact, stylish, excellent battery power and a good price too. Small enough to take abroad and lock away in room safe when not in use. Weighs just 1.3 kgs ( 3lbs ) with battery.

This netbook, or better a laptop is in my opinion the best in its series. Competitors don't get close although MSI and Lenovo are very good to. On the other hand Sony has also one netbook but it is very expensive

really like this machine. pretty fast (has 2gb option), great battery, pretty light. mouse a bit tricky. camera good.

Pros: Feather light, beautiful, great autonomy.
Cons: not the fastest kid in town (but that s not what it s for), not so great to spend hours on considering the size of the screen (but again, that s not what it s for).

Great experience. Girlfriend is very happy. Product is stylish, stable, definitely worth the money.

My first purchase of a Netbook and having had the Samsung for over 3 weeks I have yet to be disappointed.
I was close to buying an Asus, which were slightly more expensive, but quoted as having a very good battery life. However on checking many reviews the Samsung appeared to win, just in most aspects, which subsequently swayed me.
The build and overall style is very good and there is nothing at this stage that disappoints me.
There has been some mention of the included suede case, not being up to much, but I find it ok. It is obviously not intended to be a total protection case, rather a fashion accessory which compliments the Netbook.

This notebook is very light, compact and versatile. It does all you would expect of it and more. I would recommend it A+

I was on the market to replace my old Powerbook G4. I thought that I would buy another Mac however I realised that there was a whole new world of computer solutions that had never heard of OSX and its bloated price tag.
So it was to be a PC. I liked the idea of a long battery life so that I could take my laptop to school.
So it was to be a netbook. The NC10 had great reviews and good stats. It had a 160 gb hdd which I know I will never fill. And a battery life of 4-6 hours. Now normally the battery life statistics are optimistic to say the least but I get at least 5 hours out of a full charge and that is video streaming and online use.
The only thing I would chang about the NC10 is the trackpad size and even that I have almost gotten used to.
All in all an excellent little laptop and it is perfect for browsing the web and watching online movies and TV shows.

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

I am a Mac-user, but have to use occasionally PCs and prefer XP, no -nonsense, stable etc...Got this little beauty for someone else, and everybody I met, including me, wanted it! It is occasionally faster in browsing the net than my very expensive apple laptop. As long as you do one complicated thing at the time (plus running not so CPU intensive activities in the background) it is fast. Very fast start up and shut down time, lovely screen, very bright and also mat, so you can use it in brightly lit places or outside! 4,5h of browsing while watching a movie on repeat with an external monitor.....very impressive! loads of HD space, a good sized keyboard (I had my problems, but that is normal with every keyboard you have to get used to it). Nothing on it feels cheap, I can really recommend this.....do not expect to watch HD on youtube without trouble, because flash is to complicated to run fast. You can watch HD once it is on your machine, no problem. I am not a fan of the glossy top, but put it in a (faux) leather case, very stylish. I chose this over the newer Samsungs, as I can not see any real improvement, and often the confusing models are just downgrades to make it cheaper (for samsung!), so this model is still on top of the netbook game, one of the best, go for it!

Great little netbook, perfect for just word processing, excel, browsing internet and obviously emailing.

Good in size, great battery life and looks cool

Likes: Small, compact and easy to carry - boots up in an instant, battery life extremely good too. Ok for short reports and notes (guess that’s what it was designed to do) Few dislikes; whilst main keys are same as a normal sized key board, the central mouse can prove to be over sensitive and the scroll can cause all sorts of unwanted problems if inappropriately touched; be warned!

To be honest i havent had time to use this machine. as i have been to busy. i have turned it on and had a quick look and it seems fine.

I bought this Samsung NC10 following a review on The Gadget Show, who rated it top of the netbooks they tested.

I like the NC10's compact design, as it makes it very portable and takes up precious little room. Despite it's size, I find it's keyboard easier to use than those of many laptops, and as a touch typist this was one of the main draws for me.

The NC10 is very responsive, easy to use and looks great. Would definately recommend to all my friends.
