Samsung M8800 Pixon Cell Phone

I decided to by the Samsung pixon because I wanted an all round great phone. Its stylish , slim and has the latest technology to boost the features this phone possesses. The 8MP camera is a joyful addition to a mobile phone , although it takes some tweaking and getting used to it can produce some frame worthy shots.
My main use of a phone is taking calls , a few texts here and there and a quick net browse when i was to see football scores or anything im monitoring. The Pixon covers all these area's with ease. Its fast internet is quite impressive. The large screen makes it joyful to use. I would like to see other browser options available though as the one installed is limited for plug ins and on-line live content at times.
The texting is pretty good too. Although the feared touch screen is a big no no for many huge texters for me its just a matter of adapting. Its responsive and fast. It has movement sense , so you can flip the phone sideways ( like wide-screen ) and it changes to a keyboard style text , what is much preferred to some.
Music seems to play well. Not one of my massive phone uses but its fine and the speaker can be pretty loud playing my loaded tracks nicely.
The Pixon takes a 8GB micro SD card with no problem. I have one installed and it works a treat. I would like to see if it takes a 16GB. ??
Camera is awesome as already described. It has some real quality camera settings that need to be optimized for the conditions , but once done you do have an excellent camera to hand at all times.
The phone also takes excellent DVD quality videos. I like to savour some magic moments of my kids in real quality.
It also plays back all video content , including movie's with no problems. Another excellent feature.
I really do like the pixon as a phone. Its exactly what I wanted. Then again I did do some research and new what I was looking for. I could imagine many who are not used to this type phone would find it a strange change from a normal button phone , but it really does offer a great reliable phone/camera/music/Videorecorder and player all in one.

Only complaint is internet could be up there with the best if browser was a big named and compatible one.

This phone was exactly as described. This is a fantastic phone, the next best thing to the iPhone although the camera is wayyyy better than an iPhone's cam.

very nice phone, i noticed though that everything sped up when i put a 16gb memory card into it.
nice interface easy to use, no wifi, but i had a C905 and must have used wifi twice so thats no problem..

Thing's i liked about the phone are size and resolution of the camera. screen size is good,touch- screen quick to respond when using web- browser. It would be nice to change the phones cover so you can make it more personal. instead of having just the black cover or silver.

I would like to take this opportunity to say that this is a fantastic and easy phone to use. All phones should be made the same way as this. Great camera and great MP3 player. Will definitely stick with this phone because even with my large fingers i can write texts and use menus easily and effortlessly. WELL RECOMMENDED

Put simply, this phone is the samsung Taco with muscles.
Its best feature is the 8MP camera, with most of the bits and bobs you would find on a purpose built camera, including face recognition, smile detection ect...
It has a very easy to use touch screen which i found much better than i imagined, and the software is easy to navigate.

I personaly dont really use the "widgets" but some might find them usefull.
The only real downside to the phone is the fact that the phone is too easily unlocked by accident when it is in your pocket, as it is just a button on the side.

Overall though i am very pleased with it(untill i can afford an I-phone on PAYG)

all the extras,great camera,fantastic sound,the only bad thing about phone is the size you know when it's not in your pocket but all the other things compansate for this

nice phone, great camera; works well at night, touchscreen a little annoying and on the large sizes are my only dislikes.

Had for around 2 months now, Full touch screen is fully working still and very responsive, all the time, in or out of a call. Funtionality of the phone is rather simple and easy to adapt too, considering was using full keypad phone prior to this.

Battery life & signal are relatively good.

internal gps does not work, nor do java applications run with this due to major incompatibility issues.

java games & applications are rathr hard to install unless installed from WAP.

Camera has very good, crystal clear, still images but moving images are tempremaental, some turn out ok, some don't, lucky snap!!

God functionality and easy to use but not many feautures for a modern phone, looks it, but internally its pritty dull!

Overall i would say this phone is a bargain at its current price on the market.

7/10 - considering price and other models available at the moment.
