Would be better off with HTC Hero

Should have gone for Hero instead. GT-i7500 is not a complete disaster, but it lacks all those tiny details you can find in Hero:
- Samsung keyboard is not as good as ultra-comfortable on-screen keyboard in HTC (can be installed on Samsung too, but requires rooting your phone to get languages other than just English)
- speed and responsiveness of the interface is rather disappointing (I expected Samsung to perform better, as it features bog standard Android interface, rather than something custom-made like HTC Sense UI). Only now I begin to understand, how much effort HTC made in optimising and polishing their interface - it's not just "fancy stuff" - it works, and it's fast. Yes you may install Sense UI on Samsung, but that would require you installing custom 3rd party beta firmware. We'll see, maybe Samsung will include their interface in on of the next firmwares, or at least will work on performance.
The upside for the Samsung is it's screen. Gorgeous it is.
As for HTC's trackball, I don't miss it too much, directional keys on i7500 are okay, but they produce too much noise when you press them. Click, click, click. Quite annoying.
Considering all said Samsung is by no means average, it's good, but not as good as...
