Good product but not simple to learn
) 
Good edit functions like partial deletes and dividing recordings into sections (so you can burn a long film onto more than one disc) and edit out adverts.
No so good is the impossible to read display, small buttons on the remote and hard to learn procedures. I wouldn't recommend this for a newbie or anyone who's tech challenged. I'm not and it took me hours to figure it all out.
