on the face of it, the samsung DVD-S H855m seemed to have everything I needed. Divx Playback, HDMI upscaling, HDD recording, Digital Tuner, But after 2 weeks, I realised my mistake. Its as if 2 seperate cd players had been wired up inside one box. if you go into the menu, be it to set a recording or to watch something, you can only access the "virtual recorder " that you were in when you pressed the menu button. (you cant view files that or on the hdd and a dvd without coming out of the menu setup, changing to the other then going back in) I was also amazed at its inability to play VCD's. in short, a bitter disappointment!
