I HAVE READ A FEW REVIEWS ABOUT THIS MODEL,SOME SAY ITS A GOOD MACHINE OTHERS SAY IT IS DIFFICULT TO USE,BUT AFTER STUDYING THESE REVIEWS I DECIDED TO TAKE A CHANCE & PURCHASE IT .I WAS MAINLY PERSUADED BY THE BRAND NAME & THE ELEGANT BLACK STYLISH FINISH.I AM GLAD I DID PURCHASE THIS MACHINE IT IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING LOOKING REAL CUTTING EDGE TRENDY LOOKS,BUT IN ADDITION THE FEATURES ON THIS PIECE OF KIT ARE AWESOME WITH ITS MASSIVE 160GB HARD DRIVE,TWIN TUNERS INCLUDING FREEVIEW,HDMI CONNECTION,1080 UPSCALING,ANYNET CONNECTIVITY,VIDEOPLUS ETC,ETC & YES GRANTED IT IS A LITTLE DIFFICULT & TIME CONSUMING TO GET THE SWING OF BUT WITH THIS SAID IT HAS A MASS OF FEATURES & ENTERTAINMENT TO OFFER WORTH EVERY PENNY I PAID £105 FOR A NEAR NEW 1 & I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS SEXY STYLISH MASSIVE SPEC VALUE FOR MONEY MACHINE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR LOOKS,FEATURES,QUALITY & ABOVE ALL VALUE.

Great Product....Has mixed reviews from other people,but have they sat down and had a good read at the manual???.....

This is a DVD Recorder with a hard drive,NOT a freeview box!!

People are buying this to use as their main Freeview box,dont...Go and get a Freeview TV and stop being so tight!...then you can record Freeview on The DVD and watch the Freeview on the TV!..All in all its A++

Excellent device used by all the family with ease - a first......

Loverly machine, plays all the standard -R's +R's -RW's +RW's, uses Guide+ and its own form of Video+, Hads USB, HDMi, twin scart, plus many more features.

It is slow in responding to your commands from the remote, also took some time discovering how to timer record, not as straight forward as it sounded, but apart from that it's everything i was wanting. I can connect a video recorder to it and copy over from video tapes, it has a usb, divx and plenty of space with it's 160GB hard drive and the price was just right

In one word brilliant! After set up I did not even have to read the manual to use this machine.

Very easy to understand menus. Easy set-up. Responsive remote control. Alot of bang for your money.

Yes it may not be the best out there and you probably will get a better machine for the higher spec systems. But if you just want something to burn those old VHS's onto DVD and a little better viewing quality than your old DVD player this is the machine for you.

Good sharp quality picture through scart. With really vibrant colours!

very intuitive, does exactly what you would expect and more. Ideal for converting older media types to dvd - can save many vhs to hard drive then burn to single dvd. much better than messing about with capture devices on a pc and i've tried. quality you would expect from samsung, don't cheap out with off brand they never work as well as these. freeview plus is ideal if you dont want the hassle and expense of sky multiroom
