I bought this TV to replace my very old 14" standard set that I had had for about 10 years, as it couldn't present XBOX graphics properly. As soon as I connected the console, I found that the image quality was very blurred, but once I configured the settings in the XBOX display menu the image was 5 times better. I decided to then quickly run down to Argos and get an HDMI cable, (was about a tenner) and found that the quality was absolutely perfect. The TV is a must buy, and is also considerably cheap compared to others on the market.

The only drawback, it seems, is that when you first play Halo 3 on a volume about around 30, the introductionary sound becomes distorted, and makes strange vibration sounds. This however goes away as soon as you enter one of the menu options. However, this could happen on all HDTVs, so take that tiny drawback with mountainous amounts of salt.

Although advertised as a TV, it is actually a Monitor with a built in TV Tuner, nevertheless it does suit my intended purpose.

>easy to set up with 'auto sort' feature which automatically seeks out channels available when aerial is connected
>nice and light and not too fiddly - easy to set up on your own
>standard 'kettle lead' power source so if you loose wire you are bound to have another one on another appliance (including your kettle i suppose!)

BAD POINTS

>no built-in freview like other, more expensive, TV's
>cabinet/black surrounding collects dust on a daily basis (but it comes with a cloth for cleaning/dusting/wiping)
>does not come with a HDMI (High Definition) cable out of the box

This is a great monitor/TV. It has a very clear and bright screen, with vivid colours boh through the vga and dvi connection. I have so far tried this with a few pc games (Tomb Raider Anniversary, Half Life 2, and GTA San Andreas - GTA looks excellent especially with a few high res cars downloaded from the internet e.g Ferrari F40,Lamborghini and even the Ghostbusters ECTO1!!!)

When this is used to watch films/tv and coupled with a 5.1 surroundsystem, then it is excellent!!

All in all a well recommended monitor/tv and it also looks stunning when turned on or off!!!!!
