Salem's Lot (DVD)

I purchased Salems Lot because I thought it was a good version of the Steven King book, better than the latter TV version. It was hard to find in the shops. Th DVD arrived very quickly and was new and sealed and also the stated region.

I would recommend this ebayer and will visit their site soon.

I have purchase further DVD's on ebay and apart from one have been pleased with them all.

One I purchase has as yet not been recieved after nearly a month but that another review entirely.

I could not have recieved better service form the seller of Salem Lot.

This original version is quite good but is a bit dated, but still has the scare factor in places, I actually prefer the remake

I remember watching Salem's Lot as a child and being quite scared as it aired in a two parter. when it was released on DVD it bought back memories so decided to purchase via ebay. Although now dated it still is full of atmosphere although David Soul's acting is not that good, James Mason makes up for it. Overall it is much better than the recent remake starring Rob Lowe which was a very poor attempt of a remake.

When I was a mere teen up north in a small mining town - this film scared me so much I had to walk home from my mates house (where we`d watched it) down the middle of the roads in case any vampires hauled me into the surrounding gardens. It`s still got fangs.

love original storey acting pretty good forefront for a lot of new vampire film still good compared to such crap as twilight worse vampire film ever

I LOVE THIS FILM SO MUCH WHEN I WATCHED YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, IT GAVE ME NIGHTMARES FOR WEEKS BUT IT IS A TRUE CLASSIC HORROR FILM AND WHEN I SAW IT I HAD TO GET IT FOR THE GOOD MEMORIES IT GAVE ME, ITS NOT TOO BAD COMPARED TO THE REALLY NEW MODERN HORRORS ABOUT NOW!.

I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed this movie. It may be old but it has aged very well. My teenage son was as scared as I was when I first enjoyed this movie on T.V.

The brilliant acting and excellent atmosphere all added to the thrill I experienced in my younger years. This was helped by the fact that this edition was in it`s original form and not remastered. It really worked on Salem`s Lot.

Buy this movie and enjoy a gem from the past.

this is a cult horror and as it scared me the first time i watched it twenty years ago and many times since i thought it would be a worthy addition to my dvds collection some vampire films today are lets say tame but for its time i would say this was far from tame very chilling and for stepehen king fans great some of his early best work the new salems lot is also worth a watch if you are at all of a nervous disposition i would not watch but for all you horror film fans watch this it isnt the axe murder slasher film its classic 1970s vampire town getting destroyed and taken over killed etc by vampires evil versus good mostly evil some good actors with david soul playing the writer quite good and looking very nice it has to be said in his levis poss jeans any way its a great film however it was made for tv so it plays on 2 discs so you get so many episodes joined together on one disc and so on i would rate this for entertainment 7 out of ten and for nostalgia 10 out of ten for horror and frights etc jumping out of your skin 7 out of ten

Still scares me to this day even though it is an old film it is still good. There are many more "horror" films out today but this is an original. I still couldn't watch when the children come back, although my teenage son sat and laughed at it.

Oh dear, it's not as good as you remember, when you were a kid!
There's nothing scary about it, it's all done in a hurried manner, and some of the performances are childish. David Soul, really had nothing to do, his character falls in love with a woman, which takes up the first half. In the end it's a bit of a bore. And the twist at the end is like "Oh, is that it then".

This is the best david soul movie the suspense is excellent, highly recommended far better than the remake, and much much better than the remake, stephen king at his best.

True classic horror movie, written by Stephen King, The king of horror. Ive loved this movie since I was about 5 years old. Mr Barlow always used to scare the crap out of me. Glad to finally have a copy of it on DVD.

I Bought this DVD because I have seen it before and feel it is a classic, it arrived quickly in excellent condition and is excellent value for money.

the dvd was in exellent condion and i got it in good time i have bought a few items from ebay and have no complaints at all

When I saw this movie I was only 10yrs old and I was very scared and impressed by it's special effects. 29yrs had passed and I still remember some of it's scenes. A few days ago while I was browsing on ebay, I saw this movie for sale and wanted to buy it. Three days later it was in my hands, thanks to the seller. This is a great movie for those who love horror movies.

i liked the film but i would love to see a remake of it i think if that was done then it would be much better
