  Very powerful Freeview HDD recorder

Very similar to the Sky + box, the PVR contains a Freeview dual receiver that allowes you to watch one channel while recording another one or just record two at the same time.

What it is really impressive is that allowes you to record two different channels and watch a recording without any loss in the quality.

Another interesting feature is that it recordes subtitles as well, something I haven't seen in any other PVR.

On the down side, the remote control supplied with the device does not match all the instruction given on the screen although they are quite evident (e.g. the remote control has a EXIT key while the screen says press X,so it's not rocket science).

Pause live TV, backwards and forwards on live streams works perfectly and it's great to get rid of the anoying adverts: just pause it at the beginning of the program, come back in 10min, press play and once you reach the comercials then fast forward.

The 7 days guide is presented in a grid with the posibility of extend the info of a particular program by pressing the i key in the remote. At the press of a button it can record a single program or series which, if chosen, will be recorded automatically.

The only negative thing I can find, and it is really not a problem whatsoever is that I have the PVR attached to my TV in my bedroom. Because it contains a HDD it has a very low noise produced by the rotation of the HDD. If the TV has some sound you can hardly hear it but, if I use it with headphones and my girlfriend wants to sleep, she can hear it. Oh! girfriends!

It contains a USB adapter but it is only to add pictures or music by connecting it to a PC which recognizes the PVR as a external HDD. There is no access to the HDD part where the TV recordings are stored. To "get them out" you will have to connect a VCR, DVD-Recorder or Multimedia Recorder Hard Drive which makes the process quite time consuming. So passing the recording onto a PC is really a pain.

Anyway, overall is a great device highly recomended to anyone. Easy to use and the functionallity becomes very natural after a few minutes of use.

After a few weeks using it I just can't live without it.
