On their way to greatness
I first discovered Incubus with the excellent 'Make Yourself' but have gone through the back catalogue and SCIENCE indicates the promise of what is to come. Brandon's voice is starting to mature and using it to the best rather than trying to copy the rap lyrics stylee of Anthony Keidis of The Red Hot Chilli's and the guitar playing is starting to mature, there is no doubting the talent but the focus on fast rap metal notes is passing. On it's own the album is ok with 'Glass','Magic Medicine','A certain Shade of Green' and 'Summer Romance' as the stand out tracks but as far as I am concerned it only leads to the epic 'Make Yourself' album which is the pinnacle moment of this band and as an intro to Incubus this is a good album to start. with.......
