I really love this film every time I know it's on I watch it. It's about an American s.w.a.t. team how they train to be the best. How they deal with friendships and relationship the pressure their job puts them under and how they cope with it. It's action pack from the start, fast moving and great actors I just love watching Samuel L Jackson, Good night in entertainment.

What I liked about this film was that it was a family film, it was exeptional for an all action usa cop movie. Pleanty of action and a good story line. I would have no trouble leaving a youngster watching it. It had a humerous side too. No swearing (once moderate). Samuel L Jackson being one of my favourite stars, as usual gave him best. He had to pick and train 5 of the best for a new special weapons and tactical team. They have to spring into action to retreave a drug lord who have offered a bounty to any one who could spring him from prison. This is where the film springs into action. I will not say any more as I would spoil the film for you. I would have no problem recommending this film.

I bought this film as i had seen some of it on the television and liked it, unfortunately i missed some of it,now having seen what i had missed i am glad i did buy it, all action cop film.

Not bad not bad, acting was up to par but should have made it an 18 cert and pumped up the action ! Samuel L Jackson as always cool as a mo fo. The HD side of things comes out pretty well unlike some.

My son loves this movie and wanted the DVD. He had recorded it on SKY+ and my hubby deleted it. He must watch it at least once a week.

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

as you may or may not know, this was a movie derived from the hit U.S. series of the 70's, which was entertainment in the rawest form, but the movie does it more than justice. the cast are fantastic in roles that could have been just plain 'stupid'
Jackson & Farrell are in true form in the top spots giving believable and enjoyable to watch.
Even the "lesser" characters are well cast, LL cool J, michelle rodriguez, etc, and very well played.

From start to finish this is a joyride of a film, from LL cool J's chase scene, to the jet on the bridge, you should be on the edge of your seat, enthralled, enthrilled and bloody well entertained.
the only part that dissapointed me was that it ended, i could easily have sat for another hour or so

Great action packed movie from start to finish. Old tough guy Harrelson (Jackson) recruits cops for a new S.W.A.T. team, they have to be super fit through rigorous training, but that's the easy bit! as the are on a mission to catch the bad guys the have to face discrimination, loyalty and trust. BRILLIANT!! One to watch.

S.W.A.T. is the type of movie that can be either side of the same coin, so your enjoyment of it will greatly depend on your expectations going in. The trailer might have you thinking that it's another no-brain action film with stunts and explosions galore. Yes, it is that, but to limit it there would be doing a great disservice to it. It's an offbeat action flick, semi-comedic in its own natural fashion, borrowing elements from police dramas and comedies liberally, mixing the elements together and making its own unique flavor. Call it Dirty Harry meets Death Wish meets Police Academy meets Lethal Weapon. Call it anything but a remake of the hit television show of the 1970s.

I bought this dvd for my daughter, would you believe it, she's mad about the film and loves anything with loads of special agents and sniper rifles and all that stuff. She says its one of the best action films she ever saw.

Super fast high speed film, the start is based on a real event were the police found they were out gun'd. Great shots and great sound make you feel the slugs as they fly around. Its not always good to back up a team member, taking one for the team and you could end up cleaning bootsand re-calibrating an PDW 9 mil just to inpress your sargent to get the hell back on the team.
