as in the movie there are three ways you can go in life. this movie is brilliant, although it took a while to get into

Watch it 3 or 4 times to really appreciate all the thought that went into it. Some brilliant camera work. Franka is edible! Even better if you speak German. The Brit overdubs are funny, the yank ones a tad better (depending if it is R1 or R2) but, as with any film, the original language is the best. Would rather have it with German and English subtitles. Super film.

Some movies are truly innovative - this is one of them. The story is simple: Lola has 20min to fin 100,000 Deutschmarks to save her boyfriend and in order to that she has to start thinking - and running - fast. The film tells three different versions all filmed in real time with various outcomes based on minor variations in the events on the way. The thumping soundtrack is perfect, the camera work imaginative and as a viewer you will often feel breathless, too. Watch it for a difference and I promise you won't forget this one quickly!

This is far and away my favourite film. I've watched it many times, and every time I watch I notice something new hidden away. There's so much attention to detail that it's simply impossible to take it all in in a single viewing. Tom Tykwer's directing skills really shine through, as does Franka Potente's acting, and they obviously work very well together. This fast paced and imaginative film will keep anyone fixated throughout it's ninety minutes. Definitely worth watching.

Media teacher recommend I watched it, so thought I may as well buy it, I thought it wasn't very good. Arty movies aren't my type of movie really.

The story is simple and spans a period of only twenty minutes. Lola has to raise 100,000 marks or her boyfriend will die, and the film tells the story of those twenty minutes through three different storylines. Each reflects the effects of slight changes, moments of delay, minor deviations, alternate choices and each plays out the effects these have on the future. We see how the future is written and rewritten by a glance, a moments hesitation, and act of chance connection or disconnection. Three stories are told, but we glimpse the infinity of stories that could and are taking place in every moment and the chain of interconnections that mean that each change changes everything..
The film style matches the frenetic intensity of the impending deadline. The music and cinematic style create an energy such that the viewer doesn’t simply view but experiences the heart pounding exhaustion of the race against time.
It is a film that lays before you the immensity of opportunity that exists in every one of our moments, if only we are alive to see them.
I found the name of this film scribbled on the back of a piece of paper deep in a jacket pocket. How long it lay there and quite what made it surface and not be discarded is of course the story of the film. I thank whoever it was that gave me the note and heartily pass on their recommendation that you must see this film.

I watched this a few years ago and it stuck in my memory, so I bought the DVD. It's very original and imaginative, telling the same story three different ways, depending on what happens further along in the tale. Fast, exciting and with a great modern soundtrack. It's in german with english subtitles, but don't let that put you off, the plot is pretty simple. Watch and enjoy!

watched Run Lola Run last week for the first time on Film/4,i was stuck too the TV until the film had finished,all i can say is it's a must see film,i give it a 9 out of 10

I've long been a fan or foreign or subtitled films and this is high up there amongst the best.

Think of this as similar to "Sliding Doors" but slicker and better produced.

Well worth more than a single viewing and if possible, watch in it's original German with subtitles, the over dubbed english just doesn't work IMHO.

Lola is givien 20 minuites in which to find 100,000 marks to save her boyfriends life, Manni.
A classic DVD shows how devoted lola is to Manni and brilliantly captures the rush to get the money to him, before he goes to rob the shop. This dvd never gets repetitive and you can watch it a billion times before you get bored.
This dvd is a bit dissapointing though because the English adiuo option is really terrible. I found myself getting so annoyed by it that i turned it back to german audio an watched the subtitles.
Still this is one film you must see.

I owned this film for several years but lent it to someone and never got it back. It's one of my favs so had to buy it again. This film is a joy, excellent direction and the story takes you on twists and turns,and with several different possible endings it keeps you on the edge guessing which one will the final outcome. If you are into US action with predictable outcomes and you can't cope with subtitled films then this isn't your bag but if you want something refreshingly different try this film, it won't disappoint.

This film took me by surprise as I knew little about it before I watched it. It has 1 basis for the film with 3 possible outcomes to the scenario. It was entertaining and quite fast paced. Not the best film going but it's certainly very watchable. That's my personal opinion, anyway!
