I bought this really on a whim, I had seen his performance on Jack dee's 'live at the apollo' (also included in the exras) and thought he was quite funny, as well as completely mental. When I saw this on ebay I thought 'hey what the hell lets get it'. Anyways, once I watched it I had no regrets. You can see that he doesnt stick to a script and most of his set is (from the looks of things) made up on the spot which si refreshing and enjoyable. However the more you watch this the more you wonder if there is somebody at the side of the stage waiting to give him a sedative or something. however all in all a great watch. There are plenty of extras including the previously mentioned Apollo performance, commentary; commentary on the commentary; commentary on the commentary in thai (I think) (and no I dont know why either) (I heart Brackets!) and a 'guess which celebrity face is in the muffin' game (Don't ask Just watch).
This is a great DVD for anyone who is a fan of stand up, especially along the lines of Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard and Billy Connoly. The only negative I could give is that at first his general accent and behaviour can grate a bit on your nerves but trust me look past it and you'll see some comic gold.

This man is HILARIOUS! I bought 'sonic waffle' because I already have one of his other stand-up comedy performances and it tickles my funnybone! Also, he always puts lots of extras on his dvds so you really feel like you're getting your moneys worth.

Ross Noble waffling and going off on tangents left right and centre. As per usual - This man is simply brilliant.
And the muffin game in the extras... hours of fun for at least ten minutes.

One of the best Stand-up DVDs aroundReview created: 23/07/08

I saw Ross Noble on a couple of comedy panel shows and decided to give his DVDs a go a year or so ago with his Randomist tour DVDs - that set was 4 disks, comprising more comedy than you can shake a comical stick at. I was so impressed with that, that I bought Unrealtime, then Fizzy logic, and finally have completed the collection with this one.
This DVD - Sonic Waffle is probably one of the funniest of his DVDs, highlights include the meat-on-the-face treat in the additional 'Live at the Apollo' gig and the 'Origin of Ross Noble' intro film.
Ross' style of comedy is very different to a lot of stand-up comedians, as he doesn't learn a prepared script or list of jokes. He usually has 2 or 3 little anecdotes to tell, but the rest of the show (which lasts between an hour and two and a half hours on occasion!) is based on improvising comic responses and ramblings, usually inspired by the audience. This makes Ross a very refreshing comic talent and means that you can see two successive shows on his tours and they will be almost entirely different. I checked out several clips of Ross on Youtube before I bought it and I'd recommend that to others, as his style of comedy is probably best described as an 'acquired taste'!

This DVD contains only one disc, but is still packed with extras and goodies. Firstly there is the main show, then a further guest slot at Jack Dee's 'Live at the Apollo', there are also several commentaries by Ross, an intro film, theme song video and the interactive Celebrity Muffin Game.
Fully stocked and worth its weight in gold (approx £10 to £15).

After seeing Ross live, i had to get this DVD.
I wasnt dissapointed! Ross at his waffling best!
Any fan will be delighted,and to those who havent experienced the Noble experience, extra's on the DVD are excellent too.
Highly recommended.
