Superb
I first heard of Rosie Thomas through BBC Radio 2 on the Bob Harris show when he played "Wedding Day" and from there on I was fixed to her style of singing.
If Songs Could Be Held was the first album I heard of hers and without a doubt I was captured by it. Superb quality of her voice, lyrics and her ability to set the mood for every occasion just blows my mind away.
Her lyrics can range from a hopeless experience of a lover losing interested while she still remains in love to a sad story of someone's efforts being ignored/taken granted for to happier songs about a fresh person in her life (not necessarily love, but just a new light in her life) and life accepting songs.
My heart will always cherish "Since You've Been Around" and "It Don't Matter To The Sun".
I don't usually buy CDs but I do when it comes to awesome artists such as Rosie Thomas. Give her a try and I'm sure you'll agree!
