I got bought this film, loved it and now have got a whole bunch of stephen king dvd's but this is one of the best. It set me off with an addiction to his films and will most likely to you it's a great film to watch anytime!

I SAW THIS FILM A LONG TIME AGO AND HAVE READ THE BOOK SO I WANTED IT ON DVD. IT IS AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL FILM.

i saw the first part off it on tv and missed the second half but was that intrigued by what little of the film i saw i just decided to buy it and was not dissapointed. its a fantasic film done by a fantasic writer

I love this film one of stephen kings best if you like the supernatural and horrors it's one to see it's not over scarey but it is one to watch

Personally I purchased this film because I had finally come to watch 'Storm of the Century' by Stephen King. Absolutely mind blowing. It was following this that this film was advertised on TV and having seen the preview immediately felt that this too was going to be nothing but good - what else could it be from Stephen King afterall!

It did not disappoint, I am one to put the TV on of a night and go to sleep! Very boring I know but by the time the kids have gone to bed ive had enough - but - this film kept me on my toes the entire time.

Not gory, not sexual just a good watch with twists and turns of the mind - would recommend anybody watch this for a good evenings viewing!

Let's put it this way, its age restriction is 12. What can you expect? But on the other hand, it's Stephen and his ability to plant seeds of worry in your mind is second to none. The King of horror wrote this as a screenplay so already we're on to a winner. The effects are dated but this doesn't detract from the story as such; you find yourself scolding the characters and not commenting on the film itself.
I love it because its a ghost story without millions spent on it. I love it because the characters in themselves are well acted and convincing. I love it because (of course,) the background is well set up to help you understand the motivation of the film. If you want a slasher, this isn't for you and if you want something that sings and dances effects then this definitely isn't for you. But if you like a weird story and some great scenes of human nature, then this may be a winner.

I bought this dvd because I had seen the first part of the film on tv and wanted to see the rest of it. It was different than I expected, which is a good thing, but quite slow-moving.

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A BIG FAN OF STEPHEN KING I LIKE THE WAY HIS STORIES FLOW. THE MOVIE WAS A VERY GOOD ADAPTION.

Hello!, For me Rose Red is one of the best book Stepen King and the film is excellent. It is a must see film.

Positive points first- The story is KILLER, really well executed, a very chilling tale. I had read the diaries of Ellen Rimbauer before watching this, so I had a fairly good idea of what to expect, but I was still really drawn into the story.
Negative- this has such a "Made for TV" feel to it. If it had been given a hollywood budget it would have been the best film for a VERY long time, however the effects are verging on 80's cheezy zombie flick. In fact, im relatively sure that several of the "ghosts" were bought from the makers of "night of the living dead"...you know, the one with the toxic waste!! Also, it pains me to say it, but most of the actors were pretty wooden, especially the token english chap.

For all this it was very watchable, and a great story, and the negatives would not stop me reccomending it or weatching it again!

package arrived very late but was given information when i asked for it about why. Product also arrived in excellent condition

This film is a masterclass from Stephen King, it last in excess of 4 hours and not once did i get bored, this film keeps you on the edge from start to finish with great acting and a brilliant storyline. One of the best films i have ever seen!

This film although extremly long, manages to keep your attention. No supsrise really well it's based on the great Stephen kings book

Im a big fan of any Stephan King film, and this one kept me very entertained, Ive got a Stephan King fact for you, he appears in almost all of his films and in this film he's the pizza delivery guy. I love this film mainly because its loosly based on a true story, about an actual house called Rose Red and all the historical facts about the property are rumoured to be true which draws me in.

I had watched this film when it 1st came out and really wanted to own it. I was really happy when i saw it again. I can remember it being very good but couldnt remember lots of things about it. Even though its a very long film it is very good. It couldnt be shortened in any way as its all needed in there to explain the story. This film is a MUST to watch! Im very confident that it will have gripped and intrigued from the start. Enjoy!!! xxxx

This is a great DVD, and although not anywhere near the fear factor of other stephen king titles, there parts where you will jump out of your sjkin, great film for the avid stephen king lover.

i bought this dvd because i love horror movies and i collect horror movies. i definately like stephen kings films. the price was very reasonable, just like the postage and packaging.

I normally hate horror movies and thrillers - I find them boring, because they normally have no story and are just films with blood and guts for the sake of having blood and guts.

But this was a completely different type of film, the story is great, it has depth and substance. And it scared the hell out of me !!!!

It is one of stephen kings film's and I haven't found a bad one yet.Although the film is on 2 dvd's as the film lasts for 245mins you need to make sure you have at least 2 and a half hours free as that is how long the first dvd runs for and the second dvd has rest of film and all the extras.
