This is one of the best known love stories of all time. Shakespeare's play was wonderful and this modern adaptation is brilliant and does Shakespeare's story much justice.

It is clever, exciting and full of passion.

Leonardo DiCaprio is great as Romeo (and cute as ever). The gang war theme fits in with the original story of the rival families very well. It's a dazzling, emotional, sexy and heart-racing film with the famous death of tehe star-struck lovers done ever so well. Also, the mix-up leading to the death is cleverly displayed and Mercutio's death was also very well done.

I bought this DVD as my children are studying it in school. I personally didn't like the film. I would have prefered to watch something more relating to Shakespeare rather than a modern version, but that's the same film that the school was showing so that's why we bought it. The delivery was fast and packaging was ok so thanks to the seller.

I bought this DVD to assist my son with his school coursework. He found the film very interesting, because even though they used the original wording, it was set in a very contemporary setting and therefore easier to understand.

based on the william shakespeare tale with adaptions such as guns for swords.
this is my all time favourite film!

I love watching this version of the greatest love story when it is on T.V.

Leonardo DiCaprio is a great actor and gives a great performance in this movie.

This DVD was bought for my Daughter who is Doing Romeo & Juliet for her GCSE. Even though the leading man was Leonardo Di Caprio she was still unimpressed with the film!!

i just love this film its beautifully shot and the imagery is fantastic the rite ppl were picked for there parts in the film.anythin to bring in a mainstream audience to appreiate shakespeare such as this adaptation of the film is good in my book

I bought this item on DVD to replace my my old VHS copy. This is a modern classic that I would recommend for any of the romantics out there. This movie falls into the top three movies of my personal collection.

this dvd has a great picture with a great sound. it has a great actors and actresses, the settings are perfect for the scenes. the launguage is acted greatly and spoken well. this is the best video i've watched in a while.

It was an okay movie, until halfway through when the dvd was scratched and turned off completely. I wanted to watch the end, therefore I kept on skipping chapters however it repeatedly switched off. Not recomended.

MODERN VERSION OF AN OLD SHAKESPEARE CLASSIC. THE GUYS WHO PUT THIS TOGETHER ARE FIRST CLASS. I HAVE AS MUCH INTREST IN SHAKESPEARE AS I HAVE IN FLYING TO THE MOON. FROM THE VERY START (THE MONTAGUE BOYS) RIGHT THROUGH THE WHOLE DVD, I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED THIS VERY REFRESHING AND MOVING PRODUCTION (THANK YOU MRS MOORE MY ENGLISH TEACHER). Shakespeare at his best, this is a brilliant interpretation of a classic play that is undateable and applicable to any generation. Definately deserves 5 stars, this play will leave you laughing and crying at the same time and argueing over whose fault it was. Was it the preists? should he have been more responsible? or was it just a cruel twist of fate as is threaded throughout the play? Certainly a must see and guys take a lesson!! All girls want a Romeo!! Poetry and soppy sililoquis are definately allowed! Just no dying please!! Happy ebaying!! x x x

I read William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and was so fascinated and absorbed in the play I had to see this futuristic adaption on film. It truly is one of the most fantastic films I have ever watched. The music delivers all the right emotions, the acting is amazing, the whole film reaches you in real depth. If you love drama, action, and romance this film will appeal to you.

I searched ebay specifically for Romeo & Juliet on dvd which included Leonardo Dicaprio, as I am studying Romeo & Juliet for my GCSE English course. This dvd is a great modern day version but still has the Elizabethan English. This dvd helped me enormously to understand the play and would recommend anyone studying Romeo & Juliet to watch it.

An amazing film, full of emotion and passion. Really well acted and directed, a pleasure to watch.I recommend this to anyone who is studying the play as it helps you to understand to story and has some interesting views on areas.
