Informative and accurate

I actually bought this for my 16 year-old son, who was studying for GCSE Archaeology. He found it a little "heavy", but it will be useful to him next year when he's moved on a little and doing "A" level.
I found it to be as accurate as our present historical knowledge allows, and presented using different narrators and styles, so there was variety. It is also an account of the invasions which clearly defines between the things that we know, and the things that we believe, to be true. It also aims to be honest rather than dramatic, which is a pleasant change from other accounts that I've seen from the time, and certainly what I liked about it the most. I've rated it as good - it didn't quite reach excellent to my mind, but it does need to be watched more than once, which I feel is as an educational video should be!
Aimed at "A" level study or keen adults/later teens I would suggest. All in all, I would buy more from the series (and did!) and trust in the information I obtained from them.
