This is such a fantastic album that it is one of my alltime greats. The tracks are so varied with lots of passion, feeling and creativity. The style is new, the ideas are good and translate very well into music. If you want hear a different style from the normal Rolling Stones then this is the album to buy.

  STILL GREAT 20 YEARS ON
Review created: 16/01/09

It's hard to conceive that this album is now 20 years old.. Instead of it being a newish Stones album, it is now very much part of Stones history... Does it hold up as well as the classic Stones tracks from the 60's and 70's... Damn right it does. It's not brilliant throughout, though it is unmistakebly 'Stones' and several of the tracks, such as 'Mixed Emotions' and 'Rock And A Hard Place' sure come close to the real deal.. My personal favourite however must surely be 'Continental Drift' - East meets the West - several years before Page & Plant created an entire album around the theme... It's a brilliant piece of writing, and just leaves me with a wishing they had developed the theme into several more tracks. A great album and a worthwhile addition to any 'Stones' collection ++++++++
