A GENUINE GREATEST HITS PACKAGE

I purchased this the same week as I got my hands on a copy of 'Rolled Gold +' The marvelous 40 tracks compilation that covers the first 8 years of the band...
The biggest question from myself, was what were the major differences between both compilations.. An additional 30 years of material would seem to be the simple answer. Though filling out disc two (70's onwards), to the same level of quality attained on the first disc (or both discs on Rolled Gold+') is questionable.. Overall it's a better compilation as it has a lot more to choose from. It also features genuine classics such as 'Angie', 'Miss You', 'It's Only Rock n' Roll', 'Beast Of Burden', 'Tumbling Down', 'Undercover Of The Night', and my personal favourite from the late 70's 'Emotional Rescue', which still grooves along in an equisate manner... Though you would be hard pressed to call several of the tracks 'classics'. A problem you couldn't associate with the Decca laden first disc that contains literally, '20 classic' tracks. All the way from the stunning opening number 'Street Fighting Man', through 'Gimme Shelter', 'Satisfaction', 'Honky Tonk Woman','Under My Thumb'. All the way to the apololyptic genius that is 'Sympathy For The Devil'... I picked this 2 disc collection up for around £5... At that price it is a bargain. As good a compilation as you could ever wish for. Recommended ++++++
