CD: Overpowered
All hail Roisin Murphy for making an album that reflects the great poppy catchiness of Moloko but manages to be much edgier. This is such an original work without being truly out-there and is therefore instantly accessible.
From the opening title track which sets the scene with a perfect synth framework that's perfect for anyone who loves the genre, you know exactly where this album is heading.
Tracks like You Know Me Better, Body Language and Let Me Know just make you want to get up and dance, while tracks like Primitive, Footprints and Dear Miami are perfect for singing along to whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the bath!
This is an album without weakness that deserves as much credit as Goldfrapp's Supernature - if you liked that you'll like this!
