Robocop Trilogy (DVD 2002)

This boxset contains the three Robocop feature films, the best being the original first movie which is aimed at the adult viewer.

The other two films were spoilt by trying to make them more mainstream, but still watchable.


Movie 1: Robocop 1

Omni Consumer Products (OCP) creates an opportunity to provide security products for the Detroit police force.

From the remains of a dead police officer Murphy (Peter Weller), they create a cyborg, a Robocop.

What the executives of OCP forget, though Murphy has been re-programmed, upgraded and re-animated he still a cop.


Movie 2: Robocop 2

Judged on its own still an ok movie, the ‘Magnavolt’ commercial was funny.

Omni Consumer Products (OCP) try to replicate the success of the first Robocop, however the new subjects fail as they cannot adapt to their new bodies and commit suicide.

In desperation a drug addict is given the cyborg treatment

The scene is set for a confrontation between the old Robocop and the new Roboaddict


Movie 3: Robocop 3

Omni Consumer Products (OCP) want to create a new city, however the residence of Detroit resist the move to new housing.

OCP begin a harassment programme to force the citizens to move out of Detroit.

Robocop finds he conflicted, does he uphold the law which has been corrupted or does he do what’s right.
