This boxset contains the three Robocop feature films, the best being the original first movie which is aimed at the adult viewer.
The other two films were spoilt by trying to make them more mainstream, but still watchable.
Movie 1: Robocop 1
Omni Consumer Products (OCP) creates an opportunity to provide security products for the Detroit police force.
From the remains of a dead police officer Murphy (Peter Weller), they create a cyborg, a Robocop.
What the executives of OCP forget, though Murphy has been re-programmed, upgraded and re-animated he still a cop.
Movie 2: Robocop 2
Judged on its own still an ok movie, the ‘Magnavolt’ commercial was funny.
Omni Consumer Products (OCP) try to replicate the success of the first Robocop, however the new subjects fail as they cannot adapt to their new bodies and commit suicide.
In desperation a drug addict is given the cyborg treatment
The scene is set for a confrontation between the old Robocop and the new Roboaddict
Movie 3: Robocop 3
Omni Consumer Products (OCP) want to create a new city, however the residence of Detroit resist the move to new housing.
OCP begin a harassment programme to force the citizens to move out of Detroit.
Robocop finds he conflicted, does he uphold the law which has been corrupted or does he do what’s right.

I can see this happening in the future, as we are not far off now. Big coorpeations running our lives, crime everywhere. We need to go back in time or into the future. I bought it because the first one is chilling, the second is good and the third one a bit too humerous. but overall very thought provoking.

Robocop Trilogy (DVD 2002)
For sci-fi fans this is a must the man-machine theory and the society issus and moral issues in this film is superb. Looking at the subject of moral grounds the film is abound of issues of right and wrong and what the SOCIETY of even today for the future will bring. For the techno-people out there seeing a robot-man-cyborg is superb, the early version films of robocop, you can see now how the films are so graphically advanced.
Issues of DRUG barons holding the law for their own needs, and people making decisions for the so called poeple and citizens is there to be seen. The film trilogy is a buy now this is one collection you must have.
5/5 just for clear story lines a must buy!

Robocop TrilogyI bought this in a bit of a "what films I saw when I was younger" moment. I always used to love watching the original Robocop film, so when I saw this, I couldn't not buy it.
For those of you that don't know about Robocop, it centres around an American police officer in a police force that is run by a corrupt private company. He gets 'killed' and is then 'reborn' as a cyborg cop. It follows his story as he firstly 'cuts out the corruption' and so on.
The original movie, in my humble opinion, is superb.
For the youngsters out there, this film was made before CGI effects etc, so don't expect flawless graphics. This is a film that is still more than watchable today. However, the 'sequels' as so often is the case, don't match the quality of the original, with Robocop 3 appearing more like a 'made for TV' film.
If you like to reminisce about films you watched when you were in your youth, you've got to buy it! If not, or you like loads of top quality CGI effects, then maybe this collection won't be for you.
Overall, I am glad I found this, and would recommend it.

One of the best Sci-Fi Action series! Worth the price!
) I saw RoboCop for the first time, along with the second one, when I was 3 years old and fell in love with this movie. Both sequels aren't as good as the original, but are worth seeing.
I already have the 20th Anniversary 2-Disc edition of "RoboCop", but decided to buy the trilogy box set as it was cheap and I didn't have the second and third movies.
I still haven't recieved it, but the seller had a 100% Positive Feedback, so I guess I'll have it in a couple of days.
The only thing the set lacks is extras to RoboCop 2 and 3, but I can get over it, as it's a great trilogy!
Worth the money!!

) The first instalment of the trilogy was as enjoyable as it always was and is a lot more graphic and bloodier than the sequels. The 2nd instalment features pretty much most of the original cast of main characters but doesn't live up to the first film where suspense, blood and violence are concerned. The third film tends to make me feel a bit cheated as Robocop is played by a different actor and I don't like it when sequels have different actors playing original characters. Overall though the Robocop triliogy is fine but I have a feeling we'd probably only continue to watch the first film rather than the sequels.

Nice looking, comprehensive collection of the original 3 ROBOCOP movies.
The quality of each film is spotless the only slight downside is the lack of special features across the 3 DVDs. A sad shame really, but none the less a great boxed set to add to anyone's collection.
If you can find it at the right price you're a fool for not buying it.
A definite cornerstone in sci-fi movie history.

i've seen these films so many times its unreal so when i seen this price i just had to buy it. if you've never seen robocop you just dont know what your missing. 1 and 2 are super films but unfortunately 3 is bad. they shoulda left it with 2 films instead of changing the main character in peter weller. but dont let that stop you. dick jones is wanted for murder.

First two films are greatThis was worth buying for Robocop 1 & 2, even though I think 3 is poor. Plus there is also the directors cut of the first film, which is great. I think the first two are well crafted, enjoyable robot flicks which manage to incorporate humour, drama and horror. They include stop-motion animation sequences, some of the best I've ever seen, and the stories/plots are intriguing and well written. Just a shame about the third; it is lacking in every department.

I purchased this dvd box set for my son who is aged 6. He watched the first one on sky and asked me to buy it for him. The price was so cheap for the trilogy that it made sense to buy it rather than just the first movie on it's own. Another great purchase from eBay and another brownie point for dad.
