Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Raising Sand (CD 2007)

I always wanted this CD from the moment the tracks were being played on the national radio. I love the melodic tones of the singers and what a great partnership.

A couple of the songs like Nothin' & Through The Morning, Through The Night, in my opinion, are not so good but I am sure they will grow on me. My favourite is Please Read The Letter followed closely by Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved In).

This CD is a very close second to my beloved ABBA CDs

I think whatever Robert Plant & Alison Krauss sing it will be good and I certainly will be looking out for more from these two.

classic album, one of the best ever, how can anyone live without this in their collection, blues grass at its best and an eternal must have

This is quite a refreshing album from two artists from different genres. I was pleasantly surprised, and love listening to this.

I keep hearing songs by these two on the radio. I love to sing along to please read the letter and the other day I heard gone, gone, gone. Well that was it, I decided I had to have my own CD to sing along to!
I always check out which CD I'm looking for on Amazon and then I search for it on eBay. Then I pick out a good price from a seller with a high rating, just as I did for this CD.
It's a great way to buy. I haven't upgraded to digital downloads yet and I like something in my hand for my money, old fashioned I know. Now this CD will take its place in my rather eclectic collection.

The CD is full of 'mood music', some might say depressing.

Its good to listen to whilst driving or with the lights low and a fire ticking over, don't forget the glass of wine too !!!

I really enjoy the backing music and the beat, find Alison Krauss voice a bit "samey" on her own, but enjoy her voice combined in a duet. Heard the tracks being played on the radio, good easy listening.

The tall cool one teams up with the angelic voice of Alison Krauss to produce a collection of eclectic songs, both moving and beautiful on the ear. The whole atomosphere is one of effortless melody, retro styled to underplay the hugely talented muscians involved. One delight follows another, toe tapping rockabilly, sensuous balladeering, and mysterious rythyms, all tinged with a folky, country flavour. Plant and Krauss complement each other in counterpoint, call and response, and heart stopping harmonies. A trully great outing by truly great performers. Catch them on tour if you can.

Great sound, these are very compatible and gifted artists. Heard one track at a friends thought it a must have. Have not been dissapointed with any track.

This CD is just beautiful,withh one of the higlights being the song Trampled Rose. The music is perfect for drifting away into any mood, especially if you are into a bit of belly dancing, or hip swaying sexy kind of stuff.
